Do you mean the Codex in general, or the Console function? The Console has been deprecated, as the Cheat Menu has taken it's function.

The conversion functions are in the Flash version. Depending on what items you had, and your ship, this may not load anyway. Rumor has it there will be an update to the conversion function at a later date.

That particular encounter seems to have been disabled in the Flash version. According to the Wiki, it's because the New Texas episode was changed from Treatment to Bovinium, which wasn't reflected in the encounter dialogue.

You're not asking them to modify one place in the code, you're asking them to add a check to every non-hyper scene in the game. Maybe two checks, in case one Condensol isn't enough.
