I suppose, assuming you are using the latest version of whichever browser you choose, you should double check any of the privacy and permission settings to make sure they don't disallow reading and writing files. Aside from that, I'm not quite sure what is limiting the functionality for you.

I think this issue has already been addressed. The added text should only show up if the character has viewed the message with the subject "Lead" (sent by Unknown), and haven't yet talked to Feruze about it.
