A Kineticist-exclusive resolution I'm proposing, instead of credits or the psi-amplifier you ask Zaalt to teach you one of his 3 Psionic attacks as your payment(player choice):

Or maybe you get the implant fixed and installed on your noggin, and you can customize which of the three attacks it allows you to use during combat (only one of the three, and it can be changed from your Codex, like other implants)

I'd rather it not take up an implant slot TBH. If we're going that route, I'd rather it be an event perk.
