[0.9.142-PUBLIC] Unable to add installations or decorations to ship

I started a new game on ver. 0.9.141-public, but updating to 0.9.142-public didn't fix this for me.

Although I've collected some posters and installations like the dong designer, whenever I go to my ship, the "decorations" and "installations" tabs are greyed out. It doesn't matter if I have the items in my actual inventory or ship storage, both buttons remain greyed out. When I hover over them, they read "You have no decorations to decorate with" and "You have no available installed items" respectively. Is this a bug or am I just being dense

You have to 'Use' the items first.
Posters will be added to your collection, then you can place them with the Decorations button.
Dong Designer et. al. will be installed. The 'Installations' button is for using them afterward.
