Lvl 8 build help.

So back again, I decided to play as a tanuki warrior-spellsword guy and a pexighast-dragon Black Mage. First one is mainly a Warrior with a couple of magic buffs, while the latter is a pure mage caster.

What is the current optimal gear for each? I kinda want to give the Tanuki an eastern-theme clothing, hence I'm giving him the unique kimono gifted by the kitsune prince even if it's not optimal.

And his items, I plan to change the rings to something more suitable.


Spell-Warrior Tanuki is a DPS focused Warrior tho. I don't like playing tank :v

For the Pexighast-Dragon Black Mage, I haven't started his playtrough but I'm theoricrafting what would be his optimal setup. Any input would be welcome, specially now that lvl 8. is up.

I'm also planning to run as a Leothran Thief, but recently I've been told that Thieves got nerfed, so I have no idea of how to build him up.

Did you still spec into the primary attributes strength agility and toughness? Or did you spec into strength, agility and spellpower for you spellsword DPS character?

I am only asking cause I wanted to do something similar to that. Actually no spellpower wouldn't help that much for your build I just remembered that the Blue Flame Blade at-will skill only procs from crit so cunning would actually be better. Nvm I think I just answered my own question X'D

I wanna say you can drop Flames Within in favor of something like Bullrush, and then use the added turn advantage to buff up into sweeping the field with whirlwind. I've always found Flames Within hard to build around. If you brought Vivianne, who focuses on buffing, then you can probably clear the field by having Viv buff the champ and then using Whirlwind.
