Marked Merk Mercenaries
Part 1: Marked Merk Band

After realizing just how big the Marked Merk Mercenary content would be, I've opted to instead release it in stages/parts. This is part 1 and primarily features the following content.

  • Foothills Combat Encounter: 3 Marked Mercenaries
  • 4 Victory Scenes: Ride (for both vagina and assholes), Fuck-Guy (fuck a guy's butt), Scissor (pussy-on-pussy love), Fuck-Girl (fuck a girl's pussy)
  • 1 Defeat Scene: Facefucked. You get put on the wrong-end of someone's crotch.

This is an encounter geared to make early-game players cautious of traveling alone through the Foothills, or at least knowing when to run. Balancing is NOT MY FORTE and as such they may seem stronger than whatever they end up as. I'm going to basically let more experienced combat people help me design the nitty-gritty. The rest of it, though, is super simple stuff. I'm hopeful that my idea for a random plug-series will be workable (@Upcast Drake can verify with me hopefully if what I have planned will work) in its current fashion, but it may change. Thanks :toot:

I really like what you have planned and I cannot wait to fight them in the game once they are approved. Kudo's on the mentioning of the Galea, likely my third favourite helmet of the Roman Empire/Republic. My second favourite would be the apulo-corinthian helmets of the Mid-republican era (But only if they have the feathers and horsehair comb) and my favourite helmet would be the earlier Montefortino-types.

I'm not sure what you mean by bronze-protected squamata leather vest? though, in regards to the combat screen descriptor. Do you mean that you have a leather vest over the squamata, the bronze squamata is worn over a leather vest? Or is the squamata made from leather with some bronze scales incorporated?

This might just be something simply going way over my head, but I just don't know what you are trying to describe at that bit. Perhaps simply saying Leather or bronze squamata would be a less confusing term. Of course, I blame my knowledge on historical weapons and armour for being able to notice this where many people would likely never spot this.

From what I know in history, Squamata would likely have been worn over a thorocomachus, which seems to be a quilted garment that might have had a leather outer-lining, as Vegetius describes it (He is not the greatest source), hence my confusion as to what you are trying to describe. Before Vegetius's time, it is likely that squamata would have been worn over a garment that is known today as 'subarmalis', but something that the Roman's would likely have a different name for, which is also likely a padded garment, likely with differing variants and levels of batting/stuffing/layers depending on the armour that it is to be paired with.

I'm sorry if this went on too long, If you must know, I have a fetish for armour. ;)

It's a squamata made from leather with bronze scaling. I'd seen some pictures with the quilted shirt, but opted for less historical accuracy since it would further bog the writing and because (at the time) I hadn't remembered the name for it. Most of the issue with the squamata currently is that when I originally grabbed it I went for "Vest" to describe its shape and sort of wearing layer. It's definitely not the best manner, though.

Basically: my brain used vest because I figured that would be the best mental image for those without the care to look up what kind of armor it would be.

I'll look at it and consider a change, but the historical accuracy of their armament doesn't NEED to be 100% for twofold that it's a porn game and they're only heavily inspired by Rome. If people end up reading tons and getting lost ENTIRELY (hence my use of vest, as I said), then there's no chance to appreciate any of the historical patterns and equipment. Which weird as it may sound, my goal was to inform folks as much as I could or provoke some inspection into the attire. It's definitely about striking the right balance of "reader flow" and realistic portrayal.

@TheSexinati275 - Hope this clears it up in the meantime before I go back through and consider changing things up.

Ayyyyyy, my bois and girlies. Guess what time it is?

The Marked Merk Band is now content-complete.
This means that from this point on, there may be some shifts in the content (hopefully small) and we are now progressing into a proper editorial state. So let me go ahead and outline this for peeps as to what kind of content you can expect.

  1. A combat encounter. These mercenaries have three types of attacks: Sword Strike (basic attack), Grapple-Shove (a fixed 1-turn stun), and Rush (an attack that's empowered but hurts them). The mechanics behind their attacks will probably change considering I do not understand combat balancing, but they're intended to be a tough foe that can catch an early-game opponent off-guard if they get too cocky.
  2. 4 Victory scenes, revolving around 4 mercenaries for your PC to fuck. Their total word count (with variations) is around 1-1.2k, with around 800-1,000 words as their full/specific PC-versions. Have fun with some named, generic goons!
  3. 1 Defeat Scene, where an asshole fucks your face. Warning: It... sucks. :ghost:
Anyhow, on to the official statement.

Content Finished. Proceeding to Draft 1 - the 1st draft will focus on large changes based on the content's direction, addition of parsers, and hopefully eliminate the most glaring issues. Expect there to be potential shifts of the content to some degree (such as something being added or removed).

If you have any feedback, I encourage you to use the comment feature on the doc. Every lil' bit helps!

Alrighty, nothin' too serious to talk about. Should be getting some editing eyes to glance over the doc soon, but the initial looks and investigation for what worked checked out. I've also done a fairly decent crackdown the last few days over the document on typos and bugs, so going to go ahead and progress the submission.

Proceeding to 2nd Draft - You know the drill. It focuses on more general fixes and clean-up, with relatively smaller tweaks and rewording.

Bumped to Submitted.

It's had a week of editors slipping in and over it, enough that I'm pretty confident in it's current state. Stay tuned for more details on Part 2 if it gets approved. Otherwise, obviously wait to see changes made. :toot:
