Tutorial Fighting??

I'm not entirely sure if this is a bug or not, but I'm not sure how to get battle to work on mobile. I've tried using two different browsers (Safari and then Chrome) but as soon as I initiate a fight with the two cultists, i'm given no further prompts. Is this a bug, or am I simply missing some key mechanic?

That was released 5 years ago, which is a lot for phones. The game is just using stuff that whatever version of the browsers your phone can get don't support.
