I was wondering will Alissa be further expanded upon in future patches, since she's just being hold up in the wayfort's dungeon, maybe a possiblity to reform and romance her, since at this point, all the elves already had sex or are in a relationship with the champion aside from her???

I'm pretty sure she's not redeemable considering that she was an evil bitch well before being able to use the 'I had my empathy literally fucked out of me' excuse. But yeah, we know there are dungeon scenes for her planned; Savin's confirmed that he comm'd Fleep to write that content. If there are any plans beyond that, we haven't heard about them aside from him saying that her getting out of prison is not an option.

No romance or redemption plans so far. You'll be able to fuck and humiliate her to the point that she becomes your subby bitch, but her heart will still be rotten as it has always been.

How about teasing her with how happy you and Ryn are together to really hurt her? I imagine that if the Champ walked in pregnant with little Rynlets (obviously not happening any time Soon but at some point it's presumably coming) she'd probably have an aneurysm.

That or have your way with Ryn right in front of her. Same effect.

I am suprised that Alisaa gets such ire here. Like, she is bad, but compared to Arona, Kal, Evergreen, Kitsune, Knot Cave residents, she is positivly mild. Not even taking into account many rapists prowling the land, she is just middle so middle of the road.

I think the reason for that ire, compared to the other examples, is because of everything she's done to Ryn specifically. We tend to feel more heatedly about evil characters that have hurt a very beloved NPC, rather than a villain like Kas who has mostly done things to characters that the player hasn't gotten nearly as attached to if at all.

There's a reason why there's a D&D trope in which the GM makes the BBEG kill an NPC the party has come to care about, in order to make the fight against the BBEG more personal to the players. Players have come to care a great deal about Ryn, and as a result Alisaa is generally more disliked by players a result.

In retrospect, I asked a rhetorical question.

It's just, there are just some idiosyncrasies about the whole "who does and doesn't deserve forgiveness" that just leave me little squeeze. Like, while I do like idea of mind breaking Ali, the reason why she is getting her punishment has also to do with Kas influence. Before she showed up, the worst she did was sexually abuse her sister and be a subpart/unfit ruler. And I do not want to undermine the former one bit. In real world, what she did would be unexcusable and would lead to her getting jailed.

But this is CoC2. A game where rape is treated like an afterthought. A game where to cure Ryns apparent decades of abuse, all one needs to do is hug her couple of times.

The feelings of detachment I feel for the game making out Alissa as this being beyond redemption is just strange when the recent events are trying to whitewash Kad the Best they can.

The biggest dichotomy I can point to related to Ali is champs conversation with Arona about Ryn. The sweetness of Arona caring about the princess is there. I like it. But at the same time, this is coming from Arona: a pillaging rapist slaver. And, to me, that is worst them whatever Ali did pre-corruption. And I am not even sure how much of blame I can put on Ali when it comes to her reletionship with the demon queen. Since corruption does make you act on your worst impulses.

In the end, I am not really bothered by all this. I am fine with some characters being made irredeemable, since not every NPC is of equal importance. This was just my write up on as to why I personally do not really have much motive to hate Alissa.

'The worst she did was sexually abuse her sister', and you don't see this as a reason people hate her? Especially since she, unlike Kas, doesn't have any excuse for her actions? You can point to Kas and say that for all the horrible things she's done, she is literally incapable of empathy through no fault of her own so there's a degree to which she's also a victim in this. When given a semblance of empathy back she's aware of what she's done and has enough perspective to be willing to try to find a new path for herself. Alissa doesn't even have that much of an excuse for what she does and since she was rotten to begin with, there's basically no degree to which 'I can fix her' ever enters the equation because there's no deeply buried better nature to appeal to.

And speaking of I Can Fix Her, the fact that they've been developing a path for Kas along these lines should not surprise anyone who's been paying attention; this didn't emerge out of the blue recently.
A game where to cure Ryns apparent decades of abuse, all one needs to do is hug her couple of times.
Because it's a game and the devs have explicitly stated that in a conflict between what's fun/sexy and 'realistic' the former will win every time. Years of therapy and positive affirmations may be more realistic but it's neither practical nor fun in a porn game.

Kas killed people. Kas raped people. No remorse was shown until she put on a magical mcguffin. There is a limit. And there are demons that showed more of a moral compass then here. I am not the biggest fan of the whitewashing of Kas the recent quest gave her, for what is worth

And I disagree -- there are ways to make Ryns confidence more of a natural thing.

But then again, I do not see how your comment discredits my feelings. Sometimes mechanics subtract from a narrative delivery.

Honeslty, I hate Alyssa to what she's done to Ryn. She torture her, humiliate her, private and public ,destroy her mind and her personality and the poor Ryn continue to love her because she's her sister. If you learn the Kas story she not become a demon because she want but because she's betrayed by her mother who choose become a demon, finaly Kas is a victim like Ryn with Alyssa. For Arona well is her culture the problem but in a mean time, the orc have a hard live and they are harder poeple so i can understand for that. When i decide to take a demon on my wing it's because he's not desire become a demon, we force him/her hand and that's why i think that's demon can have the redemption for the other who choose become demon by choice and decision, they disgust me and the only think i can do is to put my blade on their neck and take the live they have.

Sorry of is this intense but i have a bad day when women treat me like a flesh meat on the market or restaurant bench in a speed dating and this disrespect make me mad.

Sorry again but on my game is the voice for my champ. the redemption only for them who desire it and who are victim. death for the other.
