Charmer is, in my experience, pretty good! You'll want a basic attack still, yeah, but weapons become mostly stat sticks, as in a slot for bonuses to sexiness and evasion or whatever. Catalysts are nice to have IMO, but Ashe is far and away the best weapon bc bonus Sexiness and not much besides...
