Highlighted part should indicate that Willow will probably return. My guess about why she was removed was that she needs an overhaul, something that a patch alone can't fix.

Yeah, I've been reading some stuff about her. Something about her being catered for real asshole dom PCs, or something, and some other weird stuff. I hope she gets back in soon-ish. I havent seen her yet, but im super curious.
Yeah I missed her too it seems. She is/was working as a waitress on Uveto. She had some sub stuff where she basically railroaded the player into doing dom things. She also serves grilled cheese sandwiches and you could give her outfits to dress up in.
Willow was removed due to some uncomfortable dialogue choices and many edits that should have happened never did.
It is highly unlikely Willow will ever come back until her writer actually edits her properly, as was originally discussed between Drake, who started the coding project, and Willow's writer.
If that doesnt happen, then Willow will stay out of the game.

I never got the impression that Steele acted as an asshole towards her, more like they played up the dom aspect of the relationship. But if people felt uncomfortable with her content, then its gotta be fixed.
Looking at the patch notes...yeah. She should be in the last pub build. I totally missed her because 'Waitress' is in the WASD slots and I tend to over look that part of the menu sometimes lol
My point is it's not really just that it makes people uncomfortable. It's also cause, apparently, shes just not well written.

It's the difference between active and passive. Riya is more passive in her 'disagreeableness' in that she's all talk and more of a reminder that she exists. Willow actively puts the player into the framework of an emotional and physical abuser, along with a whole host of other underwritten and straight up missing pieces of content.

Well, one could argue that it could be the moment where she saved that ausaur cop, but then one could also make the argument that she was simply doing her job, so it kinda falls flat.
Point is, I wish it was more explicitly stated.
They meant she is racist, and is not pretending. She was designed to be a cunt, there was no writing issue like with Willow.
