Will this kill TiTs

And for those who don't want to click the link :

"*PLEASE NOTE* that Corruption of Champions II and Trials in Tainted Space, while they have a lot of people and design-space in common, are made by two different teams with different budgets. Supporting one does NOT help the other. That's why we have two different Patreons. Can't cross the streams, you know? If you support CoC2, you'll get access to all the CoC2 rewards and backer updates, but it won't give you access to anything TiTS-related (and vice versa)." -From the patreon page itself.

While it's a little asinine to say that it won't effect it somehow, all the employees are employed to work on TiTs, not CoC2, so this project is otherwise in their free time. So no, not anymore then a development studio who happens to be working on two games at once would.

While I do feel like CoC2 has much more potential than TiTS in having a solid game to go with the solid written smut, I don't want TiTS to be abandoned.

We have enough abandoned porn games on the internet as it is.

Why?, while I find it more interesting the theme of corruption rather than the adventure type that was TITS I don't have anything against it.
I think the mapping boxes gameplay (I know nothing of coding so yea..lol) of TiTs was not as smooth and conducive to a porn story as the game layout of CoC. To me TiTs and now CoC2 tend to get really boring when your just clicking box to next box to next box. Keep the map box stuff to certain explorable areas.

The story in between the endless clicking through boxes was ok but it did not flow well as a genuine novel and story to me. Or it could be that I think TiTs killed the greatest text game ever made. As the creators should see from the overwhelming interest still in the Revamp Mod; it is something that really worked and people loved the original format.

... What's the difference between the two? CoC and TiTS is basically the same game, except wiht different settings, and TiTS being much more polished.

In terms of content yea not much difference. In terms of gameplay; very different. I think a great way to go would be gameplay like Seeds of Chaos. Give story option and gameplay exploration. I guess I like clicking on mountains and I am there or town and I am there. The neverending east, west, north click click click is where it loses me but the story in between is good.

I just hope that CoC2 doesn't inherit the strict lore TiTS has, I feel like the core-world races(less species variety), Codex entry for every species(higher barrier for making new characters a new species) and all the universe rules kept some encounters from being more interesting.

If writing like three or four paragraphs stops people from making a 5k+ word submission then

uh

I actually hated that one part of CoC. The randomness of searching an area each 'turn' drove me up the wall. It could take days to find a certain npc in the wild, especially in areas with lots of encounters. For example, trying to bump into Izma multiple times or trying to find the Kitsune Shrine in the Deepwoods.

On top of that. The PC always heading back to camp after every scene kinda pulled me out of the game sometimes. Let me decide how long I want to spend in an area before heading back to base.

Don't worry, I can assure you that being a floof is very not-RNG this time around.

I read the design document, and I love you all for this change <3

I always make *highly* curated and specific characters... letting me get the transforms I want instead of having to get it randomly will reduce my savescumming so much!
