Why did the TiTs development team abandon mac?

Title says it all. TiTs is no longer playable on mac offline, which kinda sucks - especially since I see the TiTs development team is bending over backwards to accommodate the offline experience for Android users.

Furthermore, I had to go to a seedy site (f95zone) where some kind soul patched the game so it works on mac – if a regular dude/gal can fix this mistake, why can't the TiTs dev team programers remedy the mistake as well?

There are over 2.5 billion Android users worldwide.
There are over 100 million Mac users.

Statistically, it makes sense to shift attention to Android over Mac.

Maybe you can try installing an android emulator on your mac and playing it that way?

It's my understanding that in order to make a mac build, you have to physically own a mac. The barrier is quite a bit higher. Gedan is still thinking about it, as far as I know.

In the meantime, it's an HTML game. It works in any browser. You should still be able to play it online.

And yet it doesn't make sense to purposely get rid of Mac support when TITs was mac-compatible up until the end of 2022...especially since it's so easy to make TiTs mac compatible again (as I previously mentioned, if some random dude on a piracy site can make TiTs make compatible, then surely it'll be easy for the TiTs dev team as well).

You're assuming it was a conscious choice, and not a natural consequence of porting to a different language. The 'random dude on a piracy site' may simply have a lot more development experience with Macs than the TiTS dev team.

Additionally, there are already 4 versions out: Browser, Windows/Linux/Android Downloadable. Another branch may not be desirable right now, depending on how much upkeep it would require.

Also, JavaScript can run on Macs, according to Google. You have to enable it, though.
Have you confirmed the Browser version doesn't work, even after enabling JavaScript?

Yup, I have JavaScript enabled.

According to the pirate guy: the browser version would require more correction because they are calling electron functions in the non-electron files
