Why can't I access save files?

I am able to save my progress into a file, but it doesn't show up when I try to load it. Does anyone know how this works?

Also, do I have to download the game every time there is an updated version or is there a faster way of playing the updated version without downloading the game again?

Sometimes the file selector box decides it doesn't want to work. Just try loading the file a few more times and see if that works.

Eventually we'd like to make it so the download builds can check for updates and update themselves, but we're not really working on that yet. The only other way is to play the in-browser version.
