Where do items go after you buy them?

For whatever reason after I buy TF items I can't find them anywhere. My money total had the appropriate subtraction but the item seems to be nowhere.

Are you buying TFs (of which there is only 1, Fox Berry) or are you buying alchemy ingredients? Alchemy ingredients aren't real items in the sense that they don't take up regular inventory slots, which is why they have a different shop UI. There is no way to view how many you have other than at the alchemy screen or the ingredient shop, both of which Ivris has.

Eventually there will be a button in the inventory that lets you see your alchemy ingredients and key items, but it may be a bit before then.
