It says I need to go to He'Xin'Dao but I have no idea where this is and I don't know where some plant based enemies that drop it would be because the corrupt dryad didn't give it.

use the explore command and you will find He'Xin'Dao soon enough, after it's found it will be in the Places menu. Once in the town go the to TF shop and I think it's the 5th stall in there that sells the marae fruit, though that's taken form the top of my memory so it might be in one of the others. it's somewhat expensive. Another option is to wait for Holly to grow fully and she can every once in a while give you some fruit as well IIRC.
