Saw on CoC2 wikithat "gelatinous transformations are not allowed in Corruption of Champions 2."

Is this a sort of warning stating that nobody's gonna bother doing slime transformatives for the game? Or is Fen illegalising slimes out of some sort of bias when the games are largely about beating/teasing the shit out of something and then raping it?

The prominent FAQ topic answers this question. No TFs that take the Champion (or a companion) away from a humanoid configuration are happening, ever. The reasoning behind this is that it makes things far easier for the writers when they can assume that everyone in the party has exactly two arms (with hands) and two legs and thus don't have to write two or three extra variations for every scene to account for things like naga or taur bodies, or goos.

Fen has nothing to do with this game.

But turning into an amorphous goo-girl is banned for the same reasons Centaurs and Nagas are -- nobody supports mono/quadrupeds and it makes all the content in the game weird.

Somebody COULD write a TF for a race like the Rahn from TiTS tho, that'd be fine.

Was about to say, what Savin said - can just force to keep a humanoid shape like Rahn in TiTS, and maybe even that bit where MC "constantly secretes a thin layer of goo" for lubrication purposes - and use any attrmpts to go 100% slime as a Bad End where you just devolve into a puddle or another of those sline siblings.

And fair, when it comes to games either everyone supports things so it comes out from the start, or nobody wants it and remaking scenes after the fact is a pain - sometimes taur is fine, but I almost never see anyone wanting to make their players a taur barring the rare few.

Well if taur was an option, I'd definitely try it (and that goes double for naga). But I definitely understand why it would be a huge headache to implement support for nonhumanoid characters in a game that was written from the beginning to assume humanoid shape.

Guess that goes on the to-do list for CoC3, whenever/if that ends up happening. Building the game from the ground up to support variant shapes would be far easier than patching it after the fact. All you'd have to do is have a "human shape" tag on all the initial scenes, and set the code up so that use of that tag can be traded out whenever you are ready to start writing other shapes. But if you didn't have that from day 1, putting it in would be a huge pain, I can easily understand that.

That's not the problem. The problem is that it doesn't get accounted for even when it is in the game on release. Case in point, there's so few scenes that actually accommodate taurs and nagas in tits. It's also the loss of a lot of things that you can assume just as the PC exists.
