I cannot find where the browser saves game files to. When I do Save to File FOE seems to save it but nothing happens it just closes the pop up and I cannot find the file anywhere on my Hard Drive. When I do Save to Text I copy and paste all the info into a .txt file but when I have FOE open said file it does nothing it's as if I never opened the file. And I've searched every Pale Moon directory I can find but there is no save file for FOE. I have my browser set to ask me where to store files but FOE is ignoring the setting and when I do set a directory for all downloads to go to FOE ignores that to. So I am left with only the saves in local storage.

I'm using 0.4t

FoE saves are weird and are hidden within a directory of some sort. There are no 'files' to speak of- and nothing you can copy or move easily. I suggest using the search function to find the thread with specific steps for recovery if you're interested. The recovery process looks a fair bit of work though.

Save to File only works on the online version (if you downloaded the game and run it through your browser it won't work). If you are online, a box pops up at some point asking if you want to continue receiving notifications or some such. I clicked no thinking it would save without bothering me every time, but it just stops saving from working.

Save to Text is the best method imo. However, it's not so convenient that you can hit ctrl+a to select it. You have to select only and exactly the text within the box. Highlight anything beyond just the save code, and it won't load. I admit that having a "copy to clipboard" option would be really handy...

If you triple click on the text it selects the whole thing without the names of the characters and their stats on the left outside the box
