hey guys, i've been on here a while(lurking only made my account a few days ago) and was inspired by the many games i saw on here my favorite of wich are akabur's witch trainer, fenoxo's CoC and i could go on and on but you guys probably wouldnt want to read that,

where was i? oh yeah i got inspired to make my own like many of the people on here but i couldnt choose what kind of game i wanted to make, a trainer game(was thinking zelda)? or a text based erotic cyoa(was thinking CoC like)?

so i simply started coding a prototype for both(in unity just for fun)!
the problem now is that im finished coding it i cant choose wich one to focus on,
so could you please help?

i wouldnt call myself great at drawing but i can manage,
and i've written erotic before

i made a simple poll for it and i'll check back daily for it,
any questions i'll try to awnser best i can!

I strongly suggest you start with something very simple. The game you're making for your first project should be something you can finish in a short period of time and lets you learn good practices along the way. If you just make your first project into your main big one that's going to take years to get through, you'll be stuck with the same bad systems that you started with and will probably end up having to do a ton of revisions or find it very stiffing.

Both projects can be done small or at least small in scope. So regardless of which you decide to do, try to keep it manageable for yourself.

i know, i have 6 years of programming expirience 2 of wich are in unity, this by far isnt my first project so dont worry i know enough about size and deadlines.

this is however my first adult game and its mostly just for fun since i just finished my previous project and want a breath of fresh air.

the plan i have for both games i have a small list of what i want wich shouldnt take too long so i'll work towards that as a basic version then just add as i desire aslong as i find it fun. ^^

The voting seems to indicate a preference for text, if that is the direction you take, might I suggest roping in a text writer.

Honestly, considering the main games on this forum it makes sense that text game would get a lot more interest.

fair enough but i noticed the forums are more often filled with trainer games(wich are always like version 0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.01a3),
so i thought it would pretty much be 50/50ish.
