What is Cait and The Champ's relationship?

So I know they're not sexually monogamous, and at the beginning they seem to just be fuck buddies. But throughout the game, and especially after the anal scene, I feel like Cait and The Champ are sexually open but romantically invested in each other (Or at least Cait has a romantic interest in The Champ).

Maybe I'm just imagining things, but it does seem that way. Sort of like how Arona and Brint fuck anyone and anything, but still come back to The Champ.

They're in an open relationship. Cait is romantically interested in the Champ and frankly if you made it to the point you can be the one to take her anal virginity she's been saving then it's clear you requite those feelings and are similarly invested somewhat.
