This game has been out for literal years by now and a lot of people (myself included) have been playing it for a considerable amount of time, with that in mind, i got a bit curious to know what has changed over time on the way you people play/approach this game since you started playing it?

(you can also talk about what has changed on the way you play TITS if you feel like that will be a more interesting comment)

The thing that inspired me to make this thread to begin with was when i realized that i have started looking more foward to the "cuddle or similar" options when interacting with other characters in the game than the "actual sex" ones.

I mean, dont get me wrong, i am definetly going back and chosing the sex options afterwards even if it means having to load a save over and over again.......but snuggles come first.

The main change for me was realising that, aside from deciding against stilizing the language, the dev team puts in a lot of care into creating as much of a lived in setting as possible, while sticking closely to the unusual time period they picked. So the background conversations, the lore titbits and the location descriptions are worth paying close attention to for that reason as well.

I used to just push my way towards the old forest and etheryn so that i could get to the frostwoods before i really knew what i was doing. Now i make sure to at least try and get the most companions as i can before I activate frostwood.

Arona, Berwyn, Atugia, start Quin's quest, Brint.

Depending on the character I can get them completely outfitted before getting them to a certain point

Why do you do that?

Is it for the character interactions or because of the dificulty of the frostwoods?

I've always played the Warrior/Soldier archetype, no matter what game I'm playing. All of the special abilities of other classes have sounded interesting in, say, Mass Effect, but I could never stand trying to learn how to stack status effects with regular attacks.

I've always been a hammer, first and foremost. Everything looks like a nail. Simple. BASH. Tango down. BASH. Tango down. Ooh, gotta extract a civvie? That's what the claw on the back of the hammer's for.

I initially approached CoC2 the same way, and it worked. But, on my last playthrough, I decided to tweak my playstyle a bit. Learn how to hit enemies with status effects that would support my Companions' attacks. And boy, did it WORK.

Haven't played CoC2 yet, waiting on that one for a while, but as for TiTS, tbh, I've started skimming much more than I used to, playing less for the story and more for the smut. Hell, even during the smut I skim a lot.

I really should try and change that. I'm missing out on a lot.

As for combat, tbh I've never really been into turn based games, so I just spam rapid fire and pray, lol.

Maybe I should try shifting that up too? I'll think about it.

Also, I agree with what nametag said earlier, there does seem to be a bit of a lack of more cuddly/comfy stuff on the game. More of that would definitely be welcome!

Well, for starters, I'm exploring the world more than before. I try to find out all the quests and talk to everyone. Before, I tended to stick with those characters I liked. On the combat side, I started to explore more combinations of powers and builds, I usually play mages so I stuck with the black mage powers for most of the game all the way up to the Winter City. But because my favorite team is cait and brint, I had to adapt my powers to fill in their shortcomings. I also started to play with a warrior, a thief and a bard character recently, to get a broader experience of the system.

Man, CoC2 must have a really in depth combat system for yall to be talking so seriously about builds.

Kinda makes me really wish for a revamp of TiTS combat, but I know that would never happen.

A man can dream, tho...

Same here but for me the solider is just simpler and I know how to stack effects plus the solider has an assault Rifle in the first two but I change afterwards.

Hammer, I'm more of a sword and shield guy, bash your face in impale you Hmm there's a door oh I know bull rush the door, but when I played Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Origins I used a Spear it's quicker and deals more damage in short time spans I'm like: Jack be nimble Jack be quick I'm gonna stab your dick with my poking stick. Futurama: Poke harder damn it.

Now that I reread the title I do pay attention more but I'm more of a real time strategy person but CoC 1 and 2 and TiTS get a pass be because they are more than that it's also free roam and it's porn obviously so yeah.
