What game setting you think that they will use next time if they make another? Fen co.

I'd much prefer science fantasy over apocalypse or post-apocalypse, partly because those are arguably covered by CoC2 and CoC respectively (especially the latter), partly because massive death tolls aren't sexy, but mostly because I rather dislike apocalyptic stuff and am very interested in seeing interplay between science and magic. Though given the currently established pattern, I think the most likely next Fen Game is TiTS2.

What setting do I think they will use? I don't quite know if they'd make a TiTS2 next, considering that TiTS seems extremely large already and we're just, like, halfway through the main story and levels. It feels almost like they're exploring basically everything to be done within a sci-fi setting in the current TiTS. For fantasy settings, new things would, perhaps, feel rather samey to what we have in CoC and CoC2. Aside from CoC and CoC2 style situations, it's very hard to make an apocalypse sexy. In a zombie setting it can't really be zombies, especially considering the staff's stance on undead sex is "only ghosts." If it's Fallout-esque, maybe? That's essentially just combining sci-fi with apocalyptic. The abundance of Fallout porn show that it's possible to make such an apocalypse "sexy," but in terms of game structure, I'm not sure it would really work for what seems to be the case with CoC/TiTS.

I have two ideas.

Agency of Secret Stuff: A James Bond-themed game where the player - an agent of ASS-6, an organization of highly trained spies - is dispatched on various missions where seduction is as much a part of the job as combat.

Anachronism Security Specialists: The player is a member of a secret organization dedicated to fighting time travel shenanigans. Some shadowy bad guy cabal is sending time travel agents throughout time and space in a hunt for widgets/artefacts for some dark, unknown reason.

Savin has talked about Adventurous Sapphic Seas, as a continuation of CoC 2.

Fen has played with a Steam punk setting after TiTS from time to time.

I think it would be neat if they both did a short game as a bit of a palette cleanser after they get finished with their main games as a of now. Also, TiTS: Fenrir still has to come out...

Those would be awesome themes, but the issue lies in the topic of transformations, which I can fairly safely assume is one of the primary draws of fenco games. If they took them out, that would take away a massive and practically trademark part of the game. It'd be like if From Software made a game that didn't have a risk of making you smash your controller.

They could add transformations, obviously, but then that brings up another question: why make an entirely new game then? Why not make a special mission in TiTS, perhaps something kinda like what the did with Urta, or a shorter spin off game maybe?

My point is, while these two ideas are really interesting, I can't help but think that they just aren't divergent enough to warrant making an entirely new game around them.

It's like what Tide Hunter said: TiTS and CoC are already so big and all encompassing that there's not really any justification for them to not just add those new things into CoC or TiTs.

The only way I can think of that changing is if the new games had massively divergent gameplay mechanics, like, idk, some kinda seduction meter for the spy game, or something.

True but major game developers have to make new games when a series runs out me personally I feel like TiTS is a one and done you get the inheritance and that's it with free roam along with CoC2, but I'm not one of the Devs so that's just my way of thinking and view point.
Like your ideas btw.

Hmm I would say zombie apocalypse because it can have alot of sexiness to it without shagging the undead. I'm playing a game on hosted games called zombie exodus safe haven and it has alot of romance and fighting. Or even a vampire apocalypse.

Thank you, and you do have a very good point. It's just that with the bar having been set so damn high, I'm just not sure how they'll be able to pull it off.

I am never working on another transformation fetish game ever again. I fucking hate it.
Wait, seriously? I get that working around parsers and taking every possible body type and anatomy variation into consideration can be a chore to say the least, but is it really that bad?

I JUST HAD A FUCKING AWESOME IDEA!!!!

Why not some kind of kingdom/empire management game? Kinda like Stellaris or Crusader Kings.

Seduction of other rulers and officials can play a part, and instead of fighting yourself you command and army in combat or something, maybe something kinda like team battles in pokemon?

Yo that would actually kick some serious ass!

A lack of transformation content could definitely be forgiven in a game like that, at least in my opinion.

But the there's another issue: there would be no way in hell people would be able to submit content to get added to the game. The porn and stuff are what draws people in, but the fact that you can actually contribute to the game so long as you are dedicated enough, that I think is what keeps people hooked and is why so many writers have stuck around for so long to bless us with their works.

Guess ya just can't have it all, huh?

Now that I'm putting my mind to it, I do think some shorter form games would be pretty neat. Lots more creative freedom and all that nonsense.

Also, what's TiTS: Fenrir? Is that the prequel thing featuring Kara?

Try and look at it from the writer and coder point of view.

Wait, Savin is a coder as well? I didn't know that.

Damn. Doing one or the other would be seriously tough, but doable.

But both? That takes a whole other kind of person to handle.

My hats off to you, Savin!

Well I don't know if he is but the coders that make it possible is what I meant.

So the next game you'll work on will probably be to TiTS/CoC what Sekiro was to Dark Souls/Bloodborne? That is to say, the core concepts and gameplay remain, but the ability to customize is drastically reduced to allow for a much tighter focus on the gameplay, making what remains even better because of its focus?

I just imagined something like Subverse but with TiTS level writing and I will do terrible things until I get it, lol.

Seriously I would pay so much money to see that happen!

Maybe!

Or maybe it will be an Armored Core game :)

What you're thinking of is The Silence. What I was talking about, Fenrir is a visual novel that Fen, SKoW, Moira and lighterfluid have been putting together. There may be more people involved(I haven't seen Savin say anything about it, but Saendra is supposed to cameo in it).

Yeah I saw that on the main update paige I love it, it's obvious who is making it but I hope for small character customization female and the other starting races I know it's just a Visual Novel and the art and coding would be a nightmare but it would be nice.
I saw that Steele was a half-Ausar is that the canon and the DnD that @Savin has on his YouTube channel.

TiTS: Fenrir's protagonist is not Captain Steele; they're a separate character, as evidenced by the fact that they're always a half-ausar male (regardless of gender) and are the captain of a completely new ship (the eponymous Fenrir, IIRC).
Oh thanks I didn't know anything about it except for it being mentioned that it was on ice for so long. IIRC? Feel like it should be obvious.

Well holy hot damn! That sounds fucking awesome!

Here's hoping we hear more about it soon!
