This might sound weird, but...
The general lack of racial* and sexual discrimination in the greater UGC. While such discrimination does exist in TiTS, it's portrayed as the exception rather than the rule and is usually something only primitive or relatively backwards societies (e.g. Myrellion, Rosha) engage in. It provides a universe where being non-heterosexual, non-binary, non-monogamous, of a different race, in a relationship with someone of a different race, etc. are so normal they're usually only noted when they're directly and inherently relevant to the current situation, which is very good for combating real-life racial and sexual discrimination and is also something mainstream media is seriously lacking in.

It's not weird at all. Unless it's your kink, I for one value the chance to be with many kinds of races, genders and sexes without anyone (ahem, Ben/Bess drama) making a fuss of it. Granted, there are cases in which it is fetishised because well duh, but other than that, it's fine. Ditto for Steele customisation.

I fully agree with that! one of the things I liked most about Fen games is that they allow us to copy the text, and considering that I’m not so fluent in English, using the Google translator, I was able to fully understand everything that happened in the games, which for me was new feature! (not to mention that I'm using the translator to write it all here!)
That was a very welcome detail! Considering that we are in a galaxy full of people of literally all shapes and sizes, and that things like appearance, gender and even their species can be changed with the right amount of credit, the idea of prejudice becomes something unreal! I mean, how are you going to be racist, when anyone can change the color and type of skin, hair, eyes, etc. . . simply buying a specific medicine in a store! Practically, with a pill or an injection, you can be male, female, both or neither!
Riya herself is already an allegory for prejudice, with her being a black intersex of Indian origin with a crush on her boss Ausar, and yet striving to be a fucking racist!
But personally what I like most about this game is that it allows for an insane level of personalization!
It seems that they took the zootopia slogan (anyone can be anything!) And raised it to the maximum!
Currently, I managed to create 116 different characters (and counting), each totally different from the others!
I'm thankful for all the coders, artists and writers that have contributed to making this game feel like a real place you get lost in whenever you load up a save. Thanks also to the people who keep TiTSEd up so that I can customize my Steele at the start of a new playthrough (no more save-scumming for me)!
