Hey everyone,

We are working on a 3D adult RPG named Viking's Daughter. It has interactive NSFW scenes, so you cannot only watch them, but do things like spank, grope, change camera views and so on.

Game Story

You, a smith's son visiting a village to deliver weapons meet the chief's beautiful daughter.
Explore the land, become a renowned warrior and find plenty of women to take to your bed along the way!

Playground Mode

If you want to have all of the NSFW scenes unlocked form the start without playing the story, then hop in the Playground mode. Meet all of the characters and replay all of the animation scenes at anytime in Playground, all of them will be unlocked from the start!

Slave Market

Vikings owned slaves and it's a good opportunity for us to add different type of characters in the game. The slaves were captured during Viking raids and they are desperate for a new owner. You can buy them from the market and own multiple slaves. Currently we have:

• Rose, submissive, origin Ireland, age 20
• Nicole, origin North Africa, age 23

(We may also consider adding male slaves, futa slaves and more BDSM related scenes)

Gameplay

It's a first person game, but you can also switch to third person view during the NSFW scenes. We were working on combat mechanics and there are animals in the forest that will attack you. We have also added more content similar to the Norse mythology once you die. The characters are mainly humans, but we also have an elf and we might be adding more creatures from the Viking mythology.

Thanks for the feedback! We decided to release the current version of the game, so you guys can influence the development and we needed to gather some feedback, while it's not too late. We are very thankful to anyone that will download the game and decides to join our community.

We have released Viking's Daughter v1.0.1 (Hotfix)

-What is hotfix?
You might have noticed that the last version of the game is 1.0.0, the last 0 is for quick-fix updates, if someone reports a bug in our Discord server we start working to fix it as fast as possible. When its fixed, we deploy a new version and post a link in this channel, so you can help us with the testing. This channel is only available for $5+ supporters.

-What was the bug fixed?
A few people reported that after taking the quest from Alvilda, in very rare cases the game lets you continue without completing the quest, we have never experienced this, so the more people involved in the testing, the better.
Also a bonus feature that we call one-handed controller, basically you can move by holding the right mouse button and run while holding both - left and right (just in case your left hand is... busy doing something else )

So, how real-world and how fantasy will the game be? Will it be mostly realistic where most of the women will be human and it'll focus on fighting things like animals and other humans? Or will it be fantasy(ya know elves and such)? And if it IS fantasy, will it be pulling from common fantasy(like D&D) or will it be pulling from Nordic mythology?

Hello, it really depends on what our users want most, since in our Patreon page, we said you have a chance to influence the development of the game by supporting us. We plan to keep adding human female characters and wild animals like bears wolves etc.. In future updates, where we add more locations (islands), we could have an island that's inhabited by elves. So for now I can say it will be more of a real-world based and later we might decide to add a few things that are fantasy. The real ratio between these two will be like in Game of Thrones.

We are thinking of a way to make the fetch quests easier and probably it would be good, if we make a map that shows the whole island like World of Warcraft style.

Here you can download this month's backer release. Even though we didn’t have a full month to work, because of the holidays, we managed to rework a lot of things and set up a lot of new systems that will help with the development of the game.

The "press K to expand map" thing though seems to show the same amount of actual land. it just takes up more of the screen.

Hey guys,

Here you can get the newest build of Viking’s Daughter.

We have been working on the animals AI and we made a system that will help us to quickly add other animals and NPCs. When you start the game, if you try to load an old save, it will ask you if you want to play the hunting quest. We recommend selecting “Yes”, if you’ve reached the end of build v1.6.0, because the hunting quest is in the middle of v1.5.0 and v1.6.0.

Using that base, we’re going to work on aggressive animals for the next build, which will allows us to work on very interesting mechanics.

If you have seen the post above, you know that we were mainly working on the AI, so here is what’s supported:
The animals have different states - idle, patrol, rest, flee, death, hit and player detection. It took us a lot of time to make this, but we are happy with the results, because it supports an unlimited amount of animations and it’s easy to add more states and fix errors.

Thanks. The installation was because the game requires Visual C++ Redist 2017 to run (like many modern games on Steam) and while in Steam you can install it while installing the game from Steam, we had to make a setup that automatically installs Visual C++ Redist 2017, otherwise the game just wouldn't run and people will have no idea why.

also, couldn't you use a very simple and minimal launcher that first checks for visual C++ redist and warns the user if it is not found, and if it is found launches the game itself?

Nothing changed, we just had more than 4 builds with bug fixes and the latest one didn't have an installer, so we just uploaded that instead.
