I know the wiki page says the Fishing Rod "currently serves no purpose", but that page hasn't been updated since 2016. Anyone know if the Fishing Rod has a purpose yet?

No, it doesn't serve a purpose yet (though my guess is that we'll be using it to ice fish for Lurelings on Uveto: one square on the map is described as having a hole drilled in the ice for fishing, but you can't interact with it, and it doesn't have a PLACEHOLDER note, so, yeah, big guess).

I haven't noticed that particular tile yet, but that was my guess as well. I wondered if the wiki page update got lost in the shuffle or if the addition of the pole didn't make it into the recent game update.

I actually wrote a pretty involved fishing event some time ago, but did not get to a point where I finished the Scope Creep part of it (and then recycled a lot of that into Olympia's design).

You know what I'm gonna go trim the fat off there and submit that fishing stuff right now.
