Updates

So this might possibly be a bit of a silly question, but I want to be sure. I'm using the downloaded version of the game and I'm curious as to how updates work with it. It says on the load file screen that the save files will update automatically, but as far as I can tell, my version has never updated. My question is does it do it automatically or do I need to download something manually? And if the latter case, is there a way to just get the update without having to export and then import all my saves?

Save files should work from one version to the next, like a 8.103 will work in 8.132.

The game itself has to be updated via download.

Sometime after the new patch is released.

Seriously, though, keep the main site saved as a Favorite and sometime around the middle of each month, download the game but check the version in the name of the file. If it's the same version you already have, cancel the download.
