We have a very Grunt-heavy release up for supporters tonight, v0.44.0! A new scene, some new art, a few goodies. We're down to only a single Specialist scene left to add, and while I will miss writing these scenes, it's always good to wrap up another batch of content. We also have a poll running for our higher tier patrons at the moment which could have a noticeable impact on the remaining project development time (whether to focus solely on game essentials for remaining dev or include more non-storyline sex scenes), so if you feel invested in the game's schedule, might be worth signing up for a vote. In any case, the patreon post for the release can be found here, and the patch notes below:

v0.44.0 Change Log

Game Functions:
  • Monthly Cheat Code Updated
Mission Content:
  • None
Scene Content:
  • Piledriver/Grunt Threesome scene added, with 2 branching scenes.
Art Content:
  • Grunt '69' CG added to Scenes and Gallery (6 variants)
  • Portrait variants added to Grunt/Double D, Piledriver/Grunt, and Hummer/Piledriver scenes.
Codex Entries:
  • None
Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed several typos in various codex entries.
Known Issues:
  • TTS dialogue cannot be interrupted once begun. May have issues if triggered on multiple screens at once. TTS support is 64-bit Windows only.
  • WebGL Issues: Be warned that save game data in WebGL mode is less permanent than PC standalone. May also be more prone to memory and other issues.

v0.43.1 is now up for free on the usual blog page, and v0.44.1 is now up for patrons! This latest release includes the final Specialist romance scene, closing off a major chunk of content development. Closed off on a bang though, with a fair bit of genderbending options from novice shapeshifters Switch and Double D. Our next focus will be on progression system updates which will help set up the endgame phase of the game, as well as a number of art items currently in progress. You can read the latest State of the Game post here, or the latest release notes here.

v0.44.1 Change Log

Game Functions:
  • None
Mission Content:
  • None
Scene Content:
  • Double D/Switch Threesome scene added, with 5 branching scenes.
Art Content:
  • Portrait variants added to Hellfire/Double D, Sorority/Octo, Switch/Hummer, Double D/Switch, and Princess/Sorority scenes.
Codex Entries:
  • None
Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed bug where seducing a citizen during the evening break could have portions of a Hellfire office upgrade scene trigger at the same time.
  • Hellfire CGs will now display during office upgrade unlock scenes rather than only showing when replaying the scenes from Hellfire's office.
  • Fixed bug where random citizen encounters might trigger at the same time as visiting departments.
  • Corrected typo and gender switch issues in numerous scenes.
  • Image tweaks to improve file compression.

We have an early supporter update out this month with v0.45.0, as we got a fairly hefty chunk of new art and code updates in this past week. We have several new portraits for the Specialist Switch, a new set of mission backgrounds, and a whole lot of foundational work for the point system which will end up directing the player's endgame path. I go into it all in a bit more detail on the Patreon post, so I recommend checking that out for more information. And of course, patch notes to follow:

v0.45.0 Change Log

Game Functions:
  • Monthly Cheat Code Updated
  • Numerous modifications made to support the Progression system:
    • There are now three kinds of Coup advancement points: General (the original points), Liberator, and Infiltrator. Loading a save from an old version will assign the latter two types to match the General points.
    • The sidebar display has been updated to display the three point types, and the Text To Speech readout has also been updated.
    • The main tutorial has been updated to discuss the advancement system in a bit more detail.
    • The advancement cheat option has been expanded to apply points to all categories.
    • Each point category has been capped at 10000. (This would likely only ever be reached using cheats and is far more than will be required)
  • Advancement Points have now been added to Specialist Recruitment and Relationship Decision Scenes:
    • You will only receive points for the first time you do each of these scenes for each Specialist. If you have done the Recruitment scene for a Specialist in a previous version, you will receive bonus points the next time you do their Relationship scene.
    • Telling a Specialist you wish for Peace in a Recruitment scene will acquire you Liberator points. Telling them you wish for a Coup will acquire Infiltrator points. This selection will be remembered for the Relationship scene (unless the selection was made in an older version). You will get double the amount of points if you choose the path the Specialist is more inclined towards.
Mission Content:
  • None
Scene Content:
  • None
Art Content:
  • Nude Feminine Switch portraits updated.
  • Masculine and Feminine Nurse Switch portraits added.
  • Dynamic backgrounds added for Military Camp-based missions.
Codex Entries:
  • None
Bug Fixes:
  • The main game tutorial button will now only be available in the office, and the tutorial will close if you leave the office or advance time in the middle of it.

Double update day, with v0.44.1 now up for followers on the blog, and v0.45.1 now up for Patrons! This latest release largely focuses on code work and refinements to the progression points system, including a new system of citizen recruit 'Operations' which you'll be able to use to help your way into the endgame. We also have a bit of new artwork this month, as Octo gets rather handsy with the ladies of the Sorority! The number of items remaining on the mid-game development phase checklist is growing very short, and you can read more about this next month's plans in the State of the Game post here. And of course, patch notes follow:

v0.45.1 Change Log
Game Functions:
  • The Citizen Recruit screen will now offer the opportunity to launch recruit operations once you have three active recruits. The operations come in three kinds, and each day you will have the option of choosing between two of them.
    • Each operation will require one citizen of a specified species and gender, and two other recruits to support them.
    • Operations will always succeed and grant you a number of advancement points suitable for the operation type.
    • The recruit assignment screen is still in-progress and can be 'Continued' past without assigning agents for the time being.
  • Citizen seduction has been changed to a random chance instead of a flat '50 points to succeed' check. Your point value now represents your % chance of success.
Mission Content:
  • Mission Encounter rewards have been adjusted. Some options which used to reward General points will now reward Liberator or Infiltrator points. Rewards which still give General points have generally had their point value increased. Some additional points rewards have been added.
Scene Content:
  • None
Art Content:
  • Sorority/Octo Group CG added to scenes and gallery.
Codex Entries:
  • Minor edits to Citizens section.
Bug Fixes:
  • The recruit assignment screen will now properly display the number of active female recruits you have.

It's update time again for patrons, this time with something of a foundational release that sets the stage for more detailed scene work to come over the next few weeks. Some very old placeholders have been replaced with actual content, and the game's progression system is now being enforced a bit more strictly. We also have some pretty new art to look at, with CGs added for the Switch/Hummer mindswap scene! You can check out the Patreon post here for more details, or the patch notes below:

v0.46.0 Change Log

Game Functions:
  • Monthly Cheat Code Updated
  • A new cheat option has been added, 'Add Agents', which will add five active agents of each species and gender with each use.
  • Office upgrade choices have been added at each upgrade tier. Selecting an option will require having the needed agents available, although they are not yet being 'assigned'.
    • Note: If you have upgraded the office in previous versions, you will be rolled back a bit so that you have the ability to choose which upgrades you want. Hellfire Upgrade scenes will play at the end of the day as they normally do.
    • New director progress flags have been added, to give a warning when a new office upgrade is required to progress a director's plotline. It may be required to play the director scenes again in order to once again unlock the later scenes.
  • Functionality added to support director scene variations based on office upgrade choices.
Mission Content:
  • None
Scene Content:
  • Small scene to introduce the final office upgrade added, replacing an old placeholder.
  • Minor Office Upgrade-related edits to various Director scenes: Commandos 2/3, Roboticists 2/3, Cloners 2, Secret Police 2, Scientists 2, Propagandists 3, Workers 2/3.
Art Content:
  • Switch/Hummer Threesome CGs added to Scenes and Gallery (2 variants)
Codex Entries:
  • None
Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed issue where choosing the 'return to office' option at the end of the day would skip any Hellfire office upgrade scenes. (These scenes would play if using one of the time skip options, and were still unlocked for replay in Hellfire's office.)
  • Fixed various typos.

We've got some new artwork in as well, including Science Lab-based mission backgrounds, which means game backgrounds are now 100% complete! The mid-game phase is now a month or less from being finished overall, which you can read about more in the latest State of the Game post, or you can check out the latest release post for more info on what's new:

v0.46.1 Change Log

Game Functions:
  • None
Mission Content:
  • None
Scene Content:
  • Office Upgrade-related modifications to Director Scenes: Commandos 4, Roboticists 4, Cloners 4, Secret Police 4, Scientists 4.

  • Dynamic backgrounds added to Science Lab-based missions.
Codex Entries:
  • None

  • Fixed issue that could prevent some Wildlands-based background details from appearing correctly.
Known Issues:
  • TTS dialogue cannot be interrupted once begun. May have issues if triggered on multiple screens at once. TTS support is 64-bit Windows only.
  • WebGL Issues: Be warned that save game data in WebGL mode is less permanent than PC standalone. May also be more prone to memory and other issues

Another new update tonight, one of those 'almost all code work' releases as happens sometimes. Most of the remaining major items on the mid-game development phase checklist have been knocked off, with just a little bit left to finish in this phase by the end of the month. We did have some additional artwork which didn't quite make it into this build however, which Infiltrator+ tier patrons can find some previews of along with their monthly cheat code tonight. You can check out the Patreon post here for more details, or the patch notes below:

v0.47.0 Change Log

Game Functions:
  • Monthly Cheat Code Updated
  • Random citizen encounter scenes which require a certain number of recruits of a certain species will now begin checking if you have the recruits before displaying those scenes. Active status and gender of recruits is not factored in, just the total number.
  • Various functionality to get the Recruit Assignment panel to a working state. Clicking on a recruit type will assign that recruit to the first empty slot, provided it meets the requirements. Clicking the slot will empty it. Attempting to continue without assigning all positions will bring up a warning (Not yet implemented for Department scene checks).
  • Recruit Operations and Office Upgrades now require you to properly assign recruits before you can continue with the operation/upgrade. Assigned recruits will move to 'idle' status for a random amount of time after being used for an op.
Mission Content:
  • None
Scene Content:
  • Minor Office Upgrade-related edits to various Director scenes: Propagandists 4, Pilots 4, Workers 4. The office 'home' screen text also now reflects your upgrade level and selections.
Art Content:
  • None
Codex Entries:
  • None
Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed issue where name variables weren't being applied in the Celopi office upgrade result.
  • Fixed issue where assigning recruits in the recruit panel would revert to using a placeholder count for the remaining number of recruits.

We have a double update tonight, with v0.46.1 now up for free on the blog, and v0.47.1 out for patrons! This latest release wraps up the mid-game phase of development, and in December we'll be moving into the (much shorter) endgame. A lot of cleanup tasks have been checked off the list, and we also have a new CG set and most notably, new music with tracks added for the Exploration Missions. I recommend checking out the Patreon post for more, or the State of the Game post for info on what's coming up in the next month. Enjoy!

v0.47.1 Change Log

Game Functions:
  • Functionality to support CGs in citizen random encounter scenes.
  • Recruit Assignments are now required for appropriate Department scenes (Commandos 5, Roboticists 5, Propagandists 5, Pilots 5).
  • Continue and Cancel buttons on Recruit Assignment screen have been adjusted.
  • Impersonation skill checks are now required for appropriate Department scenes (Commandos 4, Roboticists 4). The option to Continue will only be available if you have the required skill level.
  • A 'Return to Office' button has been added to Hellfire's office.
Mission Content:
  • Music has been added to the missions, with one track for each of the four location types.
Scene Content:
  • None
Art Content:
  • 'Librarian' citizen random encounter CGs added to scenes and gallery (4 variants).
Codex Entries:
  • 'Specialists' entry added.
  • For 'Race' entries (other than Terrans), buttons have been added to display representative members of the species.
  • For 'Specialist' entries, a button has been added to display their portraits.
Bug Fixes:
  • Loyalty mission encounters will now occur after a specific number of moves rather than being assigned to random map locations, to ensure that all story encounters are met and in the proper order.
  • A number of typo and gender/text color switch fixes, particularly in random citizen encounter scenes.
  • The Codex button will now only be available while in the office, to avoid various overlay and button issues.
  • The scrollbar in Codex entries will now reset to the beginning when switching entries.
  • The button leading to a placeholder scene in Hellfire's office has been removed, until such time as a full scene may be added.
  • Fixed a bug with mission encounters, where instead of using an encounter-specific morph meant to reflect your selected mission gender, it would default to male.
Known Issues:
  • TTS dialogue cannot be interrupted once begun. May have issues if triggered on multiple screens at once. TTS support is 64-bit Windows only.
  • WebGL Issues: Be warned that save game data in WebGL mode is less permanent than PC standalone. May also be more prone to memory and other issues.

v0.48.0 is now up for supporters tonight, with the first foundational work for the Director endgame scenes. While the first scenes are in, the mechanics are still in progress, so I'll point you all to the Patreon post if you want more details on where things are. In addition to that we also have a number of new art items, including a Hellfire CG set, and the first of the endgame artwork. Enjoy!

v0.48.0 Change Log

Game Functions:
  • Monthly Cheat Code Updated
  • Partial Functionality to support Director endgame moves. Endgame actions do not yet require points to perform, and may be replayed.
  • Page switching added to 'Other' section of the gallery.
Mission Content:
  • None
Scene Content:
  • A new Hellfire briefing scene has been added to help explain the game's endgame goals. This will play at the end of the day after completing at least three Director plotlines, and can then be replayed from Hellfire's office.
  • Fifth Commando Director scene added. This will be available after receiving Hellfire's endgame briefing (and finishing the earlier Commando Director scenes). Extra content included for having earned Grunt's trust, Grunt's 'Relationship' scene may need to be replayed if it hasn't been done in the last few versions.
Art Content:
  • Hellfire/Double D CG added to Scenes and Gallery (2 variants).
  • Station Exterior CG added to Gallery.
  • Bad End CG added to Gallery.
Codex Entries:
  • None
Bug Fixes:
  • None
Known Issues:
  • TTS dialogue cannot be interrupted once begun. May have issues if triggered on multiple screens at once. TTS support is 64-bit Windows only.
  • WebGL Issues: Be warned that save game data in WebGL mode is less permanent than PC standalone. May also be more prone to memory and other issues.

  • Cloners Director Scene 5 added.
  • Secret Police Director Scene 5 added.

  • 'Holiday Roth' Random Citizen Encounter CG added to Scene and Gallery.

It's a new patron release up tonight, with the game's final ending sequences - the bad ones. I mean, not quality-wise, of course, only that they should make you feel bad should you get them. I hope they're very good at that. We also have some new artwork, with some enthusiastic Vessians getting to work, and the Bad End CG now appearing in the game, which you can see a preview of in the Patreon post. I'll be starting work soon on the epilogues, including some of the game's final sexytimes content, so something to look forward to. You can check out the post for more info, or the patch notes below:

v0.51.0 Change Log

Game Functions:
  • Monthly Cheat Code Updated.
  • Split Directors Bad End added. This ending will occur if you approach 6 Directors and split them 3/3 on endgame strategies, or 8 Directors split 4/4. Completing this ending will reset the game following the scenes.
  • Failed Mission Bad End added. This ending will occur if you complete at least one encounter of the Climax Mission then abandon the mission. Completing this ending will reset the game following the scenes.
Mission Content:
  • The Climax Mission has had its description modified and colored to indicate its importance and risks.
  • The first encounter of the Climax Mission has had a statement added to note that it is the final 'point of no return'.
Scene Content:
  • Split Directors Mission Bad End added, with 2 scene stages.
  • Failed Mission Mission Bad End added, with 2 scene stages.
Art Content:
  • The Bad End CG will now display during the Bad End sequences.
  • 'Glory Hole' Citizen Encounter CGs added to Scene and Gallery (6 variants).
Codex Entries:
  • None
Bug Fixes:
  • The Tutorial and Codex buttons will no longer be available during the endgame sequences.

Two releases up tonight, with v0.50.1 now up on the usual blog page, and v0.51.1 now out for supporters! This release puts in the last bits of game progression functionality, and also kicks off the Epilogue stage of the game. The Specialist Princess makes her final appearance in the game this month, as do several of the Directors. You can check out the Patreon post here for more info, and you can also check out the monthly State of the Game post here for more info on what's coming up. Or, you can check out the patch notes below. Enjoy!

v0.51.1 Change Log

Game Functions:
  • 'Epilogue Mode' toggle has been added to the office. Once you have reached the epilogue, you may choose to return and play through old scenes, or return to epilogue mode at any time. Note also that citizen random encounters cannot be triggered in epilogue mode.
  • Various functionality to support Specialist Epilogue scenes.
    • To unlock Specialist Epilogue scenes you must have completed the Loyalty Mission for that Specialist. To unlock the intimate stage of the Epilogue, you must be in a Romantic relationship with that Specialist.
  • Various functionality to support Director Epilogue scenes.
    • In the event that you did not approach a Director as part of your endgame, they will default to being free in a Liberation ending, and locked up in an Infiltration ending.
  • Progression functionality changes:
    • 5th tier Director scenes now award 10 Tension when completed. 5th tier Department scenes now cost 10 Tension.
    • 5th tier Director scenes can now no longer be replayed. This includes cases where they were played on old saves.
    • 5th tier Director scenes now cost coup advancement points. Liberation strategies cost more at the start and get cheaper as you use them more often, Infiltration strategies start cheap and cost more as you use them more often. It is recommended that players use a consistent strategy with Specialist recruitments, mission encounter options, and so on, if they wish to be able to afford a consistent strategy with the Directors.
    • Previously, Office Upgrades unlocked essentially as soon as you earned your first coup advancement point, for testing. They now unlock at lifetime point collection levels of 4, 12, 28, and 56 (of any point type). This is the equivalent of playing through 4 Director plotlines, although other point sources can speed it along as well.
    • Specialist Intros will now appear randomly among the first three visits to a Department, rather than always appearing on the first visit. These random values are set at the start of the game and will not affect old saves.
Mission Content:
  • None
Scene Content:
  • Office description updated for epilogue mode.
  • Princess Epilogue scenes added (Liberator ending scene, Infiltrator ending scene, Intimate scene).
  • Commando Director Epilogue scenes added (4 variants).
  • Roboticist Director Epilogue scenes added (4 variants).
  • Cloner Director Epilogue scenes added (4 variants).
Art Content:
  • None
Codex Entries:
  • None
Bug Fixes:
  • Numerous typo fixes.
  • Fixed issue where the Lencist camera office upgrade used the text for the Celopi upgrade option in the office description.
  • Fixed issue where the recruit assignment screen for the first office upgrade required two recruits instead of the expected one recruit.
  • Fixed issue where office action buttons would be missing when exiting the codex.

Hey all, got a big update up for supporters tonight with half a dozen new epilogue scenes added, a new scene CG set, and a whole bunch of fixes and to-do list clearing. Director epilogues are now complete, and for the rest of this month I'll be working on the Sorority's before I move back to checking off the Departments. For more details on all the changes I recommend checking out the Patreon post here, and the patch notes below:

  • Functionality to support Department epilogue scenes.
Mission Content:
  • Placeholder text on the mission selection screen has been updated.
Scene Content:
  • Secret Police Director Epilogue scenes added (4 variants).
  • Science Director Epilogue scenes added (4 variants).

Art Content:

Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed several typos.
  • Fixed an issue where background music would start playing early if you visited the Options screen during the introduction.
  • Fixed an issue where Vessian and Schen citizen seductions were not giving full 'gender points' towards impersonation skill. This fix should be retroactive for old saves.
  • The previous fix for the number of recruits required for the first office upgrade was only partial, the upgrade should now be fully functional again.

It's a big night tonight! First off, v0.51.1 is now up for free on the blog, an update that had a lot of progression changes and set up the Epilogues. Second, v0.52.1 is now out for supporters, containing a bunch of Department epilogues, the final scene for the Sorority, and a nice Figura orgy CG to top it all off. Third, and perhaps the biggest for me: I am now setting a target date for Carnal Coup v1.0! The game is set to be content-complete by the end of June, while I will be continuing Patron development for an extra month beyond that to focus entirely on cleanup and editing and so forth. You can check out the State of the Game post for a lot more details on that, or the v0.52.1 post for more on the latest update. Enjoy!

Codex Entries:
  • None
Bug Fixes:

The game continues to wrap up as all of the content that remains is a handful of Specialist scenes which will be the focus of the next month or so. For more info you can check out the Patreon post here, and the patch notes below:

Evening all...it's here! v1.0.0 is now available for patrons, and the game is now 100% content complete! This doesn't mean the project is fully finished, as I will be devoting July entirely to bugtesting and other polish, but in general over four and a half years of development work have now come to a close. As you might imagine this is a time of changes for Carnal Coup, and I recommend checking out the release post here, or the monthly State of the Game post here, for more info on what's to come. And of course v0.53.1 is now free for the public, which you can find on the Downloads page!

I want to thank everyone who's supported or even just played the game these past years, and I hope you've all enjoyed it!

v1.0.0 Change Log

Game Functions:
  • 'Visit Hellfire' option added to Office Epilogue menu.
  • Exit button added to the upper right of the main and mission levels, so that you may quit the game without reaching for your keyboard.
  • Controls button added to the upper right of the main level, which will re-display the keyboard controls for the game.
  • 'Dark Mode' button added to the bottom left of the main text panel, which will mostly block out the text background if desired for readability.
  • The Scenes section of the Gallery has been reorganized into sections based on plotline types. For relevant sections, buttons have been added to swap CG variants based on Overseer ethnicity and gender, and partner gender.
  • A 'Return to Office' button has been added when choosing Director scenes.
Mission Content:
  • None
Scene Content:
  • Octo Epilogue scenes added (Liberator ending scene, Infiltrator ending scene, Intimate scene).
  • Hellfire Epilogue scenes added (Cuddle scene, Intimate scene).
Art Content:

  • 'Support Group' Random Encounter CG added to scene and Gallery.

The month of polish is now done, and so is the project - after about four and a half years of Patreon development, the final patron release of v1.0.1 is now up! This last update includes some Quality of Life improvements, such as non-cheat access to the gallery, and the correction of literally hundreds of typos. Additionally, v1.0.0 is now up for free on the blog! This will be the game's final free release, as v1.0.1 will remain a patron exclusive. You can find out more info on where the project is going from here in the latest State of the Game post, and you can see more details on v1.0.1 on the update post here or the patch notes below. Enjoy!

v1.0.1 Change Log

Game Functions:

  • Monthly cheat code updated.
  • The game's starting configuration form has been edited to remove pointless Input and Quality options, and now displays the game logo.
  • Buttons have been added to increase or decrease the font size at the start of the game, prior to the full options menu being unlocked.
  • A confirmation popup has been added for save file deletion.
  • Game introduction text has been updated to provide some more information at game start.
  • The scenes gallery can now be unlocked via play:
    • When an image is viewed during gameplay, all variants of it will become unlocked in the gallery, viewable in Options.
    • Images viewed in previous saves will not be counted as viewed and must be viewed again.
    • The cheat system can be used to unlock all scenes in the gallery, as well as the 'Portraits' and 'Other' sections.
    • Viewed images are tracked across save files, unlocking the gallery via cheat code is not.
Mission Content:

  • None
Scene Content:

  • None
Art Content:

  • None
Codex Entries:

  • None
Bug Fixes:

  • Many, many various typo and text tag corrections.
  • The 'IT' encounter in Octo's Loyalty Mission, and the 'Scientist' encounter in Switch's Loyalty Mission, will now strip down character portraits in the Charm path.
  • Fixed issue that could prevent secondary Specialists from commenting on encounters in Loyalty Missions.
  • Fixed issue with the wrong gender portrait being used in the 'Celopi Detection' random encounter when on 'Anyone' settings.
  • Fixed issue where, when having a 'Relationship' chat with a Specialist for the first time, they would grant you progress points for the endgame path following their natural inclinations rather than for the path you were guiding them towards (there is still a point bonus when those paths align).
  • Replaced placeholder text at the conclusion of the 'Figura Sample Collection' encounter in the Science Lab mission set.
  • Fixed issue where NPC genders in department epilogues would always default to female under 'Anyone' settings.
  • Prevented hotkeys from firing off while changing the Overseer's name via cheats.
Known Issues:

  • TTS dialogue cannot be interrupted once begun. May have issues if triggered on multiple screens at once. TTS support is 64-bit Windows only.

Right now, I'll be prepping a storefront release, which I'm currently estimating will take me about 2 months. After that, there will hopefully be a sequel, but as the SotG post will tell you, that will be a long time coming.

Evening all, it's been a few but I'm now ready to reveal some of my efforts from this month - Carnal Coup is now coming soon on Steam! The target release date is October 1st, and this version will contain a few bonus items over the standard Patreon release:

  • The most recent version of the game, with any and all post-v1.0.1 updates.
  • The full set of the Stories From Watch Station side chapters (currently available to Liberator+ patrons).
  • A brand new pdf-format art book! Unlike the raw art dump currently given to Overseer patrons, this art book will include design notes and other writings about the game and its universe, and generally be a much more organized collection to peruse.

Feel free to swing by the Steam page today to check out the shiny new trailer, and add it to your wishlist if you so desire. The game will be coming to itch and Gamejolt as well, and I will be updating those pages to reflect this edition of the game in the coming weeks. I'll keep you updated on any further release developments, until then, enjoy!

Have a public opinion poll up tonight: which species would folks like to see make an appearance in another game: https://www.patreon.com/posts/55851637 . I'll certainly be including a few, but almost surely won't be able to fit them all, so your thoughts are appreciated!

Hey all, just here to post up a preview of the patch notes for the upcoming Overseer's Edition! The code and content is all set and locked in for this Friday's release on storefronts, and a number of QoL additions have been made, particularly in making it easier to find citizens to recruit to your side. You can check out the Patreon post for more info, and don't forget to swing by the Steam page and give the game a wishlist, we're less than a week away from launch!

v1.1.0 Change Log

Game Functions:
  • Carnal Coup is now the official product of Figura Games!
    • Save files are kept at the default location of "C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\LocalLow\Figura Games", rather than under "Project Coup". You may may manually copy over any save files you wish to continue using from older versions of the game.
    • Company logo added to splash screen.
  • 'Dark Mode' button added to Mission challenge screen.
  • A tutorial has been added to Missions.
  • The 'Citizen Recruits' screen now uses a graphical representation of the number of available agents.
  • The conversion rate of recruits from 'inactive' to 'active' has been bumped up from 30% to 33%.
  • A 'Return to Office' button has been added to the Visit Citizen screen, allowing you to exit without advancing the time period. However, you will not be able to visit more citizens until the next break period.
  • A 'Return to Office' button has been added to Specialist selection screens that were missing one.
  • A new 'Focused Recruitment' feature has been added. Once you have acquired at least 30 advancement points over the course of your game, a new option will appear in Hellfire's 'Other Topics' conversations. From here you will have the option to focus your citizen recruitment efforts on specific genders or departments, at the cost of general advancement points. You may choose one gender to pass up, and up to four departments at a time.

Bug Fixes
  • None
Known Issues:
  • TTS dialogue cannot be interrupted once begun. May have issues if triggered on multiple screens at once. TTS support is 64-bit Windows only.
