Unable to enter Vark's Cave

Wanted to enter Vark's cave, but the Enter button is greyed out with the flavor text "Myrna is gone, and the cave entrance is snowed-over". Results don't change even after wearing Vark's collar.

I think there are certain actions that can make vark disappear according to the Wiki, Create a backup save and enable the cheat settings

Click the i in TiTS 3-5 times to enable cheat in options

than turn on christmas holiday events

Very strange. I tried opening my save file in Google Chrome, and it worked fine.

Edit: Was using Safari before.
