Um. Is this legal?

So basically what I've done is I've edited Gats' Sydian male into an OC of sorts... I'm not too sure how legal this is, so... yeah. I can take it down and everything, I've taken no rights to it and I've credited them too. I guess I'll add the images if this is allowed.

If what you've done is just edit it into your own creation, I suppose it is legal. When it comes to art, artists "steal" from other artists in the way of taking aspects of their art and morphing it into their own, along with adding a little bit of their own style. However, if you're just going to put little edits on an already existing work... it may not be illegal, but that isn't particularly original, nor what art's all about.

Okay, that's good. I don't want to say this is my art. I said on F-List that it was an edit. And I linked the game too. I didn't take any credit for it so... I just made it look like an OC. I have no pre-existing art anyways. I'm not an artist either.
