Ya know, theres probably a ton of bugs, glitches, typos, etc lurking around in the code in places people dont go to very often. Not too long ago I found some pretty significant issue with some of the plantation fruits, and they were implemented what, 3 months ago? And yet, nobody noticed cuz people prolly do the plantation quest once and never look at it again, and possibly never use the fruits at all.

Maybe we should get a bunch of volunteers or whatever together once the game had reached, idk, like 75% total completion, and just have them comb through as much of the game as the possibly can and report any issues they find.

Try every scene, fight every enemy, use every item, and when that's all said and done try screwing around and see if anything breaks, like, idk, trying galomax when you have 6 legs crashes the game, or whatever.

Or just have em sift through the code and look for anything out of place, like weird italics, random brackets, parser errors, typos, grammar and punctuation issues. Just double check everything.

All this would be way more thorough than just leaving it all up to chance and hoping that any bugs out there get noticed and reported. Cuz who knows how long the plantation fruit thing would have gone unnoticed had I not brought it up.

Though lord knows how wed be able to coordinate all this.

Idk, just something that popped in my head I wanted to get out. Plus I'm bored atm and dont have much better to do.

So, any thoughts on this crazy idea of mine?

That's because my inventory is full. In fact I don't do a lot of quests like the Siege on Korgii Hold because it gives a bunch of unique items you can't get again and I can't hold all this shit.

I really should start playing with a pad of paper and pen near because I keep running into encounters where Steele gives oral and it doesn't clear lust despite being Treated and/or being under the effects of Snakebyte. I just keeping forgetting.

The thing is, I have no problem bug hunting...for content I like. I couldn't care less about some of the other stuff in this game.

canuck land.
The Idea is good in theory but very difficult in practice. To go through all possible scenes and variants to ensure no bugs or errors is no small task. Now the 75% of the game is done part that is years away the game is maybe and this is a VERY BIG MAYBE half way done since we got level 10 and the max level is 20 and ships are also not in yet also considering the sheer amount of content for each npc it could be years until we get to 75% i would start now if you want to sift through it.

Yeah.

I wonder exactly how much code there is? There probably miles of it by now.

Just the main document has 7 million words, that's where most of the stuff is, but there are others, so it's not too far fetched to say 1-2 extra millions.

Jesus fuck.

Is that counting all of the parsers and syntax, or whatever? Or is that just all the scenes we see in game?
