Not sure if anyone found this, but if you ANY vendor, highlight an item, then load a save while in the vendor menu with the item highlighted, you can open any vendor and the list of items on sale will from the vendor you had opened with the highlighted.
Basically this lets you got to a vendor with high price (3600 for Knot a Problem from Sera at Tavrus station) , and apply a cheaper buy % from a different vendor, for example Gene on Myrellion, as a result the cost will go down to 2500-2750.
