The Personnel Fluid Vaporizer! (automatically cleans your body of sex goo)

I've been cracking away at this idea I've had for a bit, and at this point I wouldn't mind getting some thoughts on the thing, as well as any other features I might be able to add.

So, the PFV Gadget would be initially bought as an accessory that automatically cleans your body of statuses like Bulky Belly, Orally Filled and so on, maybe even sweaty although realistically I don't think any sane manufacturor would make their product force you to never sweat considering the health risks.

Following this though, you can either upgrade it yourself if you're a tech (or maybe tie it to int?) or get an already existing NPC to upgrade it for you, at which point it fits into that notably unused (unless I'm missing something) codex add-on functions option under the Extra menu, so you can always have it on you and customise it to your preferences! Maybe you don't wanna be splattered in cum, but are cool with the idea of being filled by the stuff. And this is where the option to disable sweat would be, since you've voided the warranty at this point.

So, that's the PFV Gadget. There's a few other things I'm planning on like a very small quest to find the parts to upgrade it, but for now I'm more hoping for any thoughts on the tool, and any other functionality I could add to it? The only other idea I had was making it so it can deflect certain fluid-based lust attacks once upgraded, but I don't think adding power to the player from an item they don't even have to equip is a good idea for a first addition to this game.

Here's the basic document for a bit of extra detail: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1e0J7XzEAU9nsATUjXMwPt_BVaKBMByAa7QSlz-idzOY/edit?usp=sharing

I think it would serve better as a gadget rather than an accessory, since it's not something that would be useful in combat. It should probably also either be something you have to deliberately select to use (i.e. press a button and let it do its thing), or have an on-off switch.

With having its customisation options added to the Codex's add-on functions, I'm guessing that's because those features don't come in the commercially available version and the upgrades don't allow direct control of those settings? I suggest that because while the add-on functions section is woefully underused (the only thing I know of that uses it is Emmy's sex-toy rig if you progress that far into her storyline), I think it would make more sense for it to be preserved for things that either Steele needs to be capable of accessing/controlling remotely, or are installed on the Codex itself. Alternatively, if the whole upgrade thing turns out to be too much of a hassle, I don't see any in-universe reason why the PFV couldn't just have all those extra settings right when you purchase it.

I don't think it's realistically capable of clearing the Bulky Belly status effect directly, since it's determined by belly size, which is influenced by multiple things, mainly the Orally, Anally and Vaginally Filled status effects and any ongoing pregnancies. Clearing the Filled status effects will also reduce or clear Bulky Belly if the total amount of fluids removed makes belly size small enough, which seems to cover your intent. It definitely should not be able to reduce belly size from pregnancies, for obvious reasons.
There's nothing wrong with clearing sweat; the way you've described it, it won't force the user to not sweat but rather clear sweat off as it is perspired. It should also be able to remove any coverings of cum, girl-cum, etc.... I guess overall, the base version would just do everything a normal shower with rinse on would do. It also kind of overlaps with some of Nova's functionality, but that's probably okay since not everyone takes her with them.

Clearing the Filled status effects will probably require a bit of invasiveness, but probably not as much as whoever caused those statuses in the first place. Also, where do all those fluids go...?

Also, grammar: it's "Personal", not "Personnel".

Cheers for the inputs! Regarding the customisation in the codex add-on functions, the basic idea is that over the course of the quest, you'd get the parts and knowhow to slot the PFV "chip" directly into the codex, rather than take up the accessory slot and be put onto your shield generator. That way even if you don't really care to customise your options, it's still an upgrade in some sense. There's no real reason in-universe it couldn't come with the extra options and not take up the accessory slot right and just slot into your codex from the getgo, I just figure it'd make for a bit of fun progression and an excuse for a quick quest.

But yep, the idea was to basically have an "on-the-go" shower rinse option, with some options to leave certain statuses alone. As for how it clears the filled statuses, I just kinda figure your character uh, does whatever it is they do while showering to get that stuff out. Kinda weird to imagine. As for where the fluid goes, it's vaporized and dissipated into the air. And JoyCo totally thought of a way to not have that smell really bad while they were manufacturing this I'm sure.

Cheers for all the other notes too, didn't realise Bulky Belly was informed by those other statuses instead of being its own thing, makes sense in retrospect. And wow yeah, honestly "Personnel" was what I intended but now that I think about it just "personal" works fine and sounds a bit less awkward, prob will go with that instead.

Also when you say it'd work better as a gadget than an accessory, do you mean have it take up an inventory slot and just be reusable from there? Honestly that works just as well if that sounds less annoying to use in its unupgraded form, although it'd probably lose its automatic function in that case.

That's exactly what I meant. If it doesn't help in combat (or have some other function that means it's a good idea to have it equipped constantly), there's no real point in making it an accessory; people would have to equip it so it can do its job, then re-equip whatever accessory they normally use, which would get rather tedious. Having it be a gadget instead means you just need to use it directly from your inventory, which is much less of a hassle than swapping accessories every time you want to use it.
