Half because of the color scheme and half because Tamaraneans are supposed to be humanoids evolved from felines. That's why Starfire baths her pet giant moth larvae named Silkie with her tongue in the Teen Titans cartoon. This thought has been haunting me for a bit so I thought I'd share it.
