text based games with OPTIONAL sex/romance

hi everyone,

I'm looking for recommendations on text-based games where the erotica take a backseat compared to the story, I like CoC but I'm not a fan of having a sex scene around every corner. what I'm looking for is a text-based game with more meaningful sex scenes like with some of CoC's companions, the style of game doesn't matter but I am a fan of the CoC and Choice of Games text-based style, anything you can recommend is apricated.

There are a few of these out there, but it sounds like you might be more interested in adult fiction or some of the Visual Novels that can be had in the genre. If you go to Ren'Py 's home page, there is quite the listing of VN's and some of them appear to be adult themed with little, light, or nosex situations in them. You might want to start there. Itch.io has a few that say they are light on sex and heavy on story. I think I saw a few posts here on some games that claimed you could basically cut almost all of the sex out of it by going down certain paths, but you might accidentally get hammered with more than you were looking for if you make a wrong choice.

If you mean text-based games literally, then you might want to have a look at games developed/published by Hosted Games and/or Choice of Games (look it up on Steam) Their games focus on the storyline, typically with some available love interests but these are pretty much optional.
