Syriquest, Help Calnor, crash

I'm doing the Syriquest, lewded the commander lady in the shower, and now I'm talking to Calnor. When I choose to assist him, Vahlen sends bots after us. During the bot fight, I'm trying to use my double-shot saurmorian railgun. I've had a repeatable crash whether I aim at Bot A or Bot B (of the 4 bots). Here's the error message.

Also of note, for some reason Bot A doesn't have the right image. It shows Valden's cyber-ghost portrait, not a robot. I've attached a screenshot of what the battle looks like before I hit shoot, and then get a crash.
Nevermind, that may be intentional to show which bot Valden is buffing.
