Hello! My name is B. I wrote Brooke, the furry body-builder dog lady in CoC, and I wrote Lane, the extortionist hypnotist, in TiTS.

PAIGE'S BASE DOCUMENT: https://docs.google.com/document/d/11_vt0MxVuI7DEhm3rBhmJA4Ard--db-Aw2voinNWBbI (Updated June 13)
PAIGE'S COMBAT DOCUMENT: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1FICfqg7OgKYljr6i-psCVf_ohNkw-f3jqf_fbZF8mfs (Updated October 15)
PAIGE'S SEX DOCUMENT: https://docs.google.com/document/d/15MAY6YYLf3ukthFKZNEx4i1wCfi1IUIfQ1dwkPoMR0s/edit (Updated June 24)

A couple of months ago, I pitched to Fen an idea for something completely unrelated to this document (edit: Fen approved Paige shortly after I pitched it to him and made some adjustments according to his suggestions, so this isn't a request for approval, although I suppose it can still get unapproved later). Then, Fen mentioned that Shou wanted to get a hold of me so she could talk about Lane and their bust. Then, Shou said in the body of her email that "Savin [begged] me to ask you to write Space Brooke." I thought that it was kind of flattering that one of TiTS's project leads wanted me to write something.

So, here you are! "Space Brooke" Paige, the Yoga Instructor. Paige is a fully-furry Ausar woman, pumped up on gene mods to make herself dangerously hairy. She doesn't lift weights, but years and years of intense yoga and proper dieting have given her a body to die for. She's not overly muscly or super buff, but her muscles are very cut and defined. She's also got abs that could file metal. I could have gotten this out a couple of weeks earlier, but then videogames, and

Like Brooke before her, Paige has a large emphasis on character development and backstory, largely because well-written characters are my fetish. Where Brooke had an injury that damaged the tendons in her hands, destroying her ability to grip things, Paige has an injury that makes her totally blind. Her story involves her past occupations; her family; her life leading up to her injury; and how she learned to overcome her disability.

Paige caters to a number of fetishes:

  • She's... I guess she's omnisexual? She'll do you regardless if you're male, female, both, none, or other (no taurs, sorry. Nagas are on the chopping block). (EDIT: Fuck it, why not? Sex for everyone!)

  • Gentle femdom

  • Muscles (but not, like, Strong Man muscles. Less Zack Khan, more Samantha Wright with better-cut abs)

  • Romance/Waifu-ness. Paige puts a ton of more emphasis on romance than Brooke The Fuckbuddy did.

  • Uh, disabilities, if you're into that, I guess

  • General stuff. Oral, vaginal, anal, straight, lesbian, etc etc

  • Threesomes, particularly with people named Kiro

  • People who are tired of dickgirls and want something a bit more vanilla

Paige also includes a bunch of other, non-sex stuff:

  • Being a Yoga instructor, the player can attend Paige's classes for 20 credits a visit. The more the player visits, the more intense the sessions can become, with higher rewards. Yoga can only be practiced once a day, because doing too much can overextend your ligaments. Once you and Paige become lovers, she'll teach you for free.

  • She has a robotic helper named Iddi, included on Fen's request. Iddi is a floating monitor that acts as Paige's eyes, and it has a cutesy, childish personality with a young boy's voice to make it appealing to its administrator (Paige) and to others around it. Iddi includes a scene where Paige turns its personality into a sultry, submissive woman with a mature voice, and she uses it to attempt to seduce the player (which comes dangerously close to succeeding, depending on the player's Lust at the time), included mostly for humor.

  • Lots of backstory.

  • You can fight Paige! This was a feature I had planned for Brooke, but never got around to. Paige is very strong and has a history as a combatant (just like Brooke), and she wants to keep herself sharp despite her disability and asks you to spar with her. Includes some happy endings depending on who wins and who loses. Are you okay with hitting a blind woman? She's gonna hit you back!

  • Plans to make Paige into a follower/crewmate/waifu! The barrier of entry to have her added as a crewmate is extremely high, however, mostly to buy me time to write it.

I never posted Brooke's or Lane's document on the forums, mostly because I was very shy and apprehensive about putting a "face" to the name. I told Fen that it would be different starting with Paige and with that other project I mentioned at the beginning of this post. This document contains enough information to make Paige an NPC as it is now, but it's missing quite a lot of features.

Things that still need doing:
Nothing that can't be saved for an xpac if I really want them in. Paige is done!!!!!

Expacks:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1VXbRmo4rRdDJY2UsXaUDNB2sdMuLU9V6ilttTn_fM88 - Sex with Paige in the shower once she's become a crewmate

I love what I´ve read so far. Seeing as you have a clear idea of what you want to do, and already having written for Fenco before (I´ve read through Lane, loved her btw. but not Brooke yet, unfortunately :( ), I think I can have great expectations towards this project. I´m looking forward to it :D .

(I´m currently having an internal struggle of whether or not I should read what you´ve presented so far, or save myself to marriag...eventual release date)

I'm slightly sad that she's can't do nagas (partly caused i love to have Paige held tight while she pins me), but over all am pretty excited about her. A rough and tumble gal like this domming is so hot.

Quite the nice character! Love characters who aren't just obejcts to stick your things into or the other way around... Love that character depth. One question: Does the player's personality score (kind, mischievous, hard) play into her interactions? I don't see them, but it might be in the works?

Admittedly, personality checks weren't really a priority with Paige like how they were with some of Lane's interactions, but I could probably think of a few places to swap the dialogue around.  Maybe a mischievous character gets a little frisky or exhibitionist with some yoga poses or something.  Maybe a hard character demands to be Big Spoon at all times, idk, something like that.

Your name is a letter! An actual letter! I didn't think IPB even let you do that, at least not by default. Why would Gedan lower the limit to 1? This forum is ridiculous.

seems interesting. I'll be honest though I hope the sex scenes for this character are better than Lanes. I found Lane's sex scenes to be very weak honestly.

Huh...a yoga instructor. There's a great amount of depth here, just in terms of character development. I look forward to (Probably) having my character swooning at her. I think I would love having her as a crewmate. Have you given thought to letting the character talk to other students, either before or after the secession?

Maybe my question is already answered in the doc, but I wonder how badly she was injured that all the technology available in tits couldn't help.

She doesn´t have the money to pay for the treatment she wants.

No, I probably won't be including any flavor text with the other students.  Anything I include that doesn't involve Paige would just be fluff.

Leonid got it: the technology's been available for some time, but it turns out, if you don't have health insurance, medical bills (at least, for surgery) still cost an arm and a leg and a pair of eyes in the far-flung future.

I vote we get the option to pay for her surgery (It'd be suitably ungodly, but still. It'd be like helping Embry).

Don't think she would want the player to do that. Not until they have a ''proper'' relationship. She wants to be self suffiicient, seems to be her a part of her character to be in control, just in general.

Actually I noted that this is in the document (Which I purposefully read little of because I like to be surprised). Granted, you're correct (You need to be close), but it is in the game.

Btw the 500000 credits for her treatment seems to be a lot for people who can´t beat Dr.Lash on a regular basis.

Was sure that basic implants are quite cheap from Lyralla's and Saendra's interactions, as well as from Wiki - cheap cybernetics are sub-par but affordable and functional enough.

It was deliberately set so high because Paige is supposed to be an endgame crew member; someone you're not supposed to recruit until you're nearing the end of the game and that sort of dosh is easier to come by.  Her stats for combat were also going to be suitably high: she's in the best shape of her life and she was able to fight off a number of Black Void pirates before getting sucker'd, so she'd be understandably difficult to fight one-on-one, especially if she also gets her sight back.

I have a tendency to set barriers of entry a little high on my characters: I've done it for both Brooke and Lane so far, but, since I'm not the game designer, I've always been careful to mention that every game-balancing-related integer is negotiable for balancing purposes.  If that means lowering it to 100,000 credits or even lower, that's Fenco's call, not mine.

(Also, some art-imitates-life: have you seen IRL hospital bills?  They charge you $21,000 to sleep in a bed.  You Americans are pretty backwards about your health care, although I hear you've been trying to fix that)

Actually, cybernetics was brought up in the doc: prosthetic vs synthetic.  She decided she didn't want cybernetic/prosthetic eyes and wanted something grown in a vat instead, which is quite a bit more expensive, and she explains why.

Prosthetic is actually named a top-tier on Wiki. Such top that it is not unusual to remove own healthy parts to get superior cybernetic ones. And having cheap cybernetic eyes seems to be good as a temporary solution. Better than being blind, as for me. Well, not everyone is into transhumanism, I guess.

Been reading through the doc and I'm rather liking it. Though I do have to say that I am wondering about your decision to have Paige refer to the pc's gender by their junk. As that doesn't seem like it would be compatible with any pc that doesn't really fit into either category.

It is sort of justified by her blindness (she is not judging you by your appearance), but it is still out of the convention. If a player had explicitly set their gender, it would be sort of rude to just ignore it.

She did say that she wasn't too thrilled of the idea of having machines plugged directly into her brain.

That was honestly just a formality for the sake of pronoun calls, and I kind of assumed that the gender preference setting would have overridden it anyway.  If it really matters, I can change it to something like [if {pc.Femininity <= 40}guy][if {pc.Femininity >= 41}gal] (going by the femininity scores on the wiki).

Yes, but organic eyes would be plugged directly into her brain as well. So... I understand that this state is realistic, but can't support it. If Brooke was about overcoming objective trouble, Paige is creating her trouble for herself. Her choice, not hard luck.

Why not use conventional pc.mf function? There are parser calls like [pc.guyGirl] as well.

Hmm.  I'll think about it.  She wouldn't be too interested in cybernetics because of the reasons listed in the doc (they're unnatural; they damage easily; they're expensive to repair; they itch, etc) but then the cons of having synthetic eyes are a little much (500,000 cons, to be exact).  Maybe I could write two paths?  The PC could offer to cover cybernetics and convince her to take them.  I'd have to think of some other incentive to give her the synthetic eyes, though; otherwise the only major drawback is just some dialogue changes.

I'm sitting here thinking about the ethical and financial pros and cons about getting cybernetic implants versus synthetic fleshy implants for my fictional dog woman that practices yoga on a space station in a flash-based pornographic game, and the player could romance/have sex with said dog woman whilst equipped with up to ten different penises and two vaginas, with potentially more dicks coming out of their chest, and they ejaculate honey instead of semen.  This is hard!

Why not use conventional pc.mf function?

Is that a thing?  This is my bible when it comes to parsers and arguments, and if it's not in here, I basically don't believe it exists.  There's he/she and him/her, but those don't really jive with the dialect Paige uses to address you by your pronoun.

Finished the doc, gotta say that I'm looking forward to her. She reminds me a bit of Toph from AtLA, which is fantastic as she was one of my better liked characters in that show. Though after seeing Paige's feelings about cybernetics, I am curious about how'd she react to a PC cyborg if/when they become a thing.

Damaged easily? Synthetic eyes? More easily than most fragile (and stupidly designed) organ in a human body? Expensive to repair, when they are cheap to buy? It seems like an excuse, not reason. Again, I understand it, but can't say it gives her character a credit in my opinion. If she is stubborn and proud and getting back "her" eyes is principal, it is a much better reason, but it won't go well with player paying her debts.

Is that a thing?  This is my bible when it comes to parsers and arguments, and if it's not in here, I basically don't believe it exists.

Yep, it is a thing. There are boyGirl, guyGirl, manWoman, a whole set of things like heShe or himHerIt... MF though is not a parser call, but a function parser widely uses. Mostly its use looks like

"something " + pc.mfn("guy", "girl", "dunnowhatyouare") + " something"

And mf is transient for mfn which can't choose third option.

But not as taur? BTW, what about goo?

Hmm, I'll keep that in mind.  It might look a bit difficult to parse (as a reader) in a document, though.  It might just be easier to change her dialect to something else.

But not as taur? BTW, what about goo?

Paige doesn't accept taurs, nagas or goo as students, which locks them out of the content, but it's not out of the question to romance her, then turn into one of those things, and then try to have sex again.  That's a shitload of new content to add to an already ambitious project, and I don't know if I have the patience for all of that.  It'd be a better bet to wait for xpacks for them if they do wind up being a thing.

Taurs are currently commonly ignored without gating them out unless there are special alternative taur scenes. It sometimes creates weirdshit, but it is considered better than gating out 80% of game content.
