Heyy! I'm relatively new on the forum at large, so be kind to me.

I think I saw somewhere that there wouldn't be any options for taur transformations in CoC2, and I simply wanted to confirm if that was the case or not. I really enjoyed playing as a centaur in TiTs in one run, and especially reading the scenes between a taur PC and Aina were a joy, due to the attention paid to activities between them like showering in the taur part of her shower together. Granted it was limiting in terms of a lot of missing sex scenes, and there weren't a lot of taur exclusive ones as far as I'm aware either, so I wouldn't blame them for not including any in CoC2. Personally though, I could absolutely see myself enjoying playing as a centaur in an actual fantasy setting. Especially when said setting features multiple centaur characters, and even some dryads to boot. I obviously respect if they won't be in the game, and if that's the case then I'll likely deal with my disappointment by just getting lots and lots of fluffy tails instead xD

Yes, tauric PCs ain't happening. Same for tauric Companions for coding reasons.

Yyyeah I figured that was the reason for it not happening. Oh well, guess I'll go and cry in the kitsune corner now xD

Yeah I can imagine it does save a lot of work, and I can absolutely get behind and support that decision for sure. It's still a little disappointing admittedly, but hey I'll get over it. It's not like you need the lower body of a horse/elk/spider/snake etc. to survive anyways. So yeah, unless something else is eventually added that I find exciting, I'll likely just go with a kitsune based on what's in the game so far. Can't go wrong with lots and lots of fluffy tails now can you? :3

Easy enough to code, hard to account for story-wise.

Too bad about the "no slime bodies" thing. It's extremely handy. My TiTs characters all have gel body because I can adjust most of my character on the fly with ease.

That's kind of the whole issue; when you have multiple body types you either have writers who ignore them and only write for bipeds (immersion-breaking for any characters that aren't) or you have to account for every possible body type, which is that much more work for the writers, for every scene.

The problem is that it’s literally two times the work or more depending on the scene. Imagine Cait bent over the bed, a sire mounts her from behind. Standard fare. But for each body type there is, that scene has to be written a different way. Instead of standing behind her and grabbing your junk to put it inside, now you’ve gotta write about climbing up on the bed and resting your forelegs on the bed while you poke around from behind until you slide in.

Now imagine doing that for literally every scene in the game. Doable? Yes. Interesting? Not for enough writers to consider doing it. If you gathered enough people willing to write for alternate body configurations and had them and only them write for the game, you would literally have a tenth of the game we have now. Now imagine the same scenario but for eight legged driders, nagas, etc.

Someone from the devs mentioned that there may be zones or scenes where you will be given a centauric body (or other). So don't lose hope yet.

I imagine one of scenes and such are possible for the same reason Biped only is the main game aka writers only need to focus and write for one body type. I would guess the same is true for other body types as well
