Greetings, I am Dr. MadDoc the 47th. I am a 3D artist and game developer working on the adult visual novel game Starship Inanna.

What is Starship Inanna?
Starship Inanna is a visual novel game being developed in the Ren'Py Visual Novel Engine. At it's core it is a Choose Your Own Adventure style story set in a sci-fi universe akin to Star Trek or Mass Effect.


You take on the role of a Commander withing the fleet of the Titan Empire, who has just been assigned as second in command under Captain Alexandra Zal. The crew of the ship is comprised of select races of the Empire which the player will be able to interact with and have relationships with (that means plenty of sex). As Commander you will be sent on missions to different planets where you will encounter new cultures and civilizations. You will run across slavers, enemy races, omnipotent beings, and more.

How much is the game going to be?
The game will be available for free.


How long is the game?
The game is going to be under continuous development so there's no real way to tell how long it will be when it's finally done, but we have ideas for many episodes planned and each episode will be roughly an hour in length.


What platforms will the game be on?
The game is currently available for Windows, MacOSX, and Linux platforms.


In the game you'll currently find [m/f], [m/m] and [h/m]. There's a few different sex acts depicted in the game and we're moving into harder territory now, but still pretty mainstream right now. coming up we'll likely go into more bdsm and possibly some mind control. Sex scenes will also be a tad bit longer going forward and offer some more player agency we hope.

When you say "select races of the empire", I assume you mean aliens? How different are the aliens? Is it all Star Trek style not-quite-humans or will there be some more out-there ones like in mass effect?

I'm confused when people ask about this and bring up Mass Effect, aside from Elcor and Hannar everything is pretty humanoid as far as the base races go... it's more like Star Trek in that respect than Star Wars.  Anyway, sorry for my digression, currently the characters are more Star Trek style, but we're looking into more exotic looking characters as we move forward (though less human characters are less likely to have sexual encounters, though it's still possible).

So far I love it, for some time I was looking for a game like this, the only ones that got my inch are TiTs and this one.


Only time will tell if my dream game come true...

Yeah the Asari look like they're straight out of star trek, I guess I was mainly thinking of the turians and krogans. Maybe Halo would've been a better example of diversity, as even though everything there's bipedal it's all still very much not human-like

I'm trying to move toward more alien looking characters as I progress technically and artistically, but it is a goal.

I was more talking about the design of the alien not the quality. I wouldn't ask that kind of quality from anyone unless I was paying for it. Not that I will complain if you happen to achieve that level of excellence.  :D

"About 30 seconds later during _witch_ only Taylor stays looking at the bodies, she finally speaks" witch -> which


Anaya: "I can blown their comm tower..." blown -> blow


When you get grabby during the fight, Kani: "Youll have to ask her that one Commander" Kami -> Tarik.


It may be just me, but Alexandras face looks...well, it looks off from the front


I was a little bit baffled by ze and zir, but i understood after fighting with Tarik that it is a gender thing...almost reported it as a typo.


Great ACT II, i quite enjoyed the scenes with Kami...new favourite crewmember...dont you dare kill her xD

Issues have been fixed in the next release.  As for Kani... well... j/k  I mean yeah people may die in the story as we continue, but I have no intention of killing characters off now before you even really know them.

Very nice artwork, gonna break my mouse going thru all the decision trees. Ensign Rachel Taylor's pupils appear to be different sizes. Can't wait for some more scenes with Ashe and her tongue. :)


Oluna, 'Helping us retrain some unruly patients, should probably be restrain.

Not just yet, I'll toss one up on the download page when I get back to my home country (on a vacation right now, honeymoon actually).  Major thing in 1.0 is the Female commander is playable now, music has been completed for episode 1, and "character creation" has been given a bit of plot rationale.

i have 2 major questions.

1. is character creation planned at some point? i assume the h/m means herm? playing as a female or herm and being able to get with other females (or herms) would be cool as would even simple character creation.

2. is there anything special one needs to download to play this game (im used to games like tits and coc where i just played in browser so im not sure how this sort of thing works).

edit: third question, much less important but a fet of mine. will there be impregnation/pregnancy/birth?

2) AFAIK, you don't need nothing special to play the game.


BTW, I really love the uniforms/armor designs...

Character creation for the series beyond what is already there in terms of gender or appearance is going to be far too much work given that everything is pre-rendered and we didn't go the typical visual novel route of using sprites (at least, we abandoned that style pretty quickly).  At some point we did have to say "This is what we're doing with this series" and we had to accept we could never do everything we wanted, including indepth character creation.  We may do something for specific episodes or arcs depending on plot, though I'm not going to say more than that right now.

Played it this morning not bad, ok let me just ask this; is the main character dark skinned or not? 


I asked because when I first started playing it I went, "Holy shit one of these porn games which has a black guy in it, let alone one as the main character. That is like finding a fucking unicorn or a obtaining a mew in gen 1 pokemon without glitching the game or using a gameshark."  then i get to one of the scenes in chapter 2 I think and I swear his skin pigmentation seem to decrease by at least 20%-30% XD. 


Also a little side note at when Adam (I think that is his name) called Kani (if that is the catgirl's name, my mind is hazy right now) Alien, That is kind of a relative terms since they are both currently aliens in a completely different solar system that they originated from. I never understood the logic of calling something or someone a "alien", when the caller themselves are by the every logic behind the word, an alien. Not to mention the universe is a big place and unless one is on their own home planet and the one that they are talking to is there on that planet with them. Then subject A can't really hold what they believe to be normal as standard and something different as alien since where they may currently be, normal is completely changed to any level of degree.

Greetings,

The main character is black, regardless of gender.  However lighting can sometimes affect how dark they are (this is due to the lighting or rendering technology used more often than not, Episode 3 is a much more realistic rendering tech, and while characters will likely change their textures/model (and therefore their look) in subtle ways, I intend on being as close to the current models as possible, so the main character will still be black.)  It's something I feel is not done often enough, and given the nature of the game it's very Star Trek inspired, and I am a HUGE Sisko fan.

Also, love the discussion of alien as a perspective and how we all relate to each other, that's exactly the type of discussions I want to foster with this game (it being more than just a bunch of sex scenes).  That particular line "you're alien" is unique to Adam (he's the only person on the crew who is from Earth proper and not a colony, and he's the youngest of the crew).  The other team has Samantha as the Engineer and she's more perceptive with "we're aliens" when that scene occurs.

Normally I think I wouldn't be fond of playing as a black dude but for some reason it doesn't really bother me in this game. Immersion reasons. It seems quite good so far and I look forward to more of it.

IMHO, I don't care if you play a white, black or green skinned one...
