Jesus, I got out of breath just reading that.It seems that the Grays Goos before Nova were mere experiments of the Novahome hive mind to make a usable body to transfer each mind, created from microsurgeons given by BI/G and each one was created in Deck 13, maybe in the same place where Nova is created, it must be taken into account that all the Goos you find in Tarkus are mere attempts and as such can come with different defects or qualities, you should not compare them with Nova, since she is the that you could call the final prototype and she stored thousands of minds, which makes it a medical AI with a potential even greater than any wild gray goo, yet you should not forget that Nova was born when the crew of Novahome were separated from her, for which she must learn and experience like any other person to discover this potential, so although she is in her nature be a bimbo, it is more like she is naive instead of dumb.
Who's "he"? Anyway, the GGA can already clone herself.-With the Gray Goo girl splitting in half you mean Double-Goo? When an individual gains enough mass, he gains greater intelligence, perhaps that is why he grew another head, but having already twice the mass of a normal Goo makes me believe that he is unable to separate completely or maybe she is just playing, since Nova can also take this form with little effort. (Or have I missed a scene where they do separate completely?)
Well, since gray goos are basically a bunch of microbots linked by an internal wireless network, I guess so long as those chunks stay within network range of the majority of Nova, they'd still be considered part of her. She can already split herself into two parts in combat (one to tease enemies, one staying on Steele) without any adverse effects, so I don't think anything bad is going to happen in that case either.if someone tried to hurt me like that would Nova shoot out like a tendril to grip them to protect me in her panic and then grab them even more, and then if that person managed to pull off and some chunks of Nova came off, what would happen, a moment like the T-1000 reforming, or like that split goo girl.
That depends on the nature of Nova's memory storage. Presumably, each microbot that makes her up only has a small amount of storage space available, so her memories would have to be stored across multiple 'bots, and the researchers studying part of her would only have access to the information stored within those parts. It's entirely conceivable that she could copy her memories across to some spare goo, then give that over for study. Regardless, to make gray goo armour on a commercial scale they'd have to figure out a way to mass-produce gray goo first, though that's not an insurmountable problem.So after all that thinking i also got to thinking, could Steele Tech make a concerted effort to take some of Nova and start splitting her up in a controlled environment, making gray goo armors? I'd think they could do the same with the other gray goo samples, but Nova has already learned a bunch of things so sampling directly from her would be best and if S.T. can do it then that'd be an interesting idea. Maybe with Nova and the Nova crew and all the gray goo tech research the next planet rush will have rushers all swimming in gray goo armors, keeping em clean and sucking their bits? It'd make the sequel kinda funny.

We're not talking about Nova the final boss of Anno's Ghost Deck mission, but rather Nova the gray goo armour. The latter was created from a vat of already-existing gray goo, while the former carried thousands of minds not because it was made from advanced gray goo (remember, the goal was one body for each crew member), but because that's what it took to get the normal gray goo to take humanoid form without letting the goo network to become sapient. Only the latter quote actually applies to Nova the gray goo armour.yet you should not forget that Nova was born when the crew of Novahome were separated from her, for which she must learn and experience like any other person to discover this potential, so although she is in her nature be a bimbo, it is more like she is naive instead of dumb.
I'd argue that whenever a gray goo (or other composite intelligence) splits into multiple parts that each have the same memories, each part can't be considered to be truly different from each other unless and until they go their separate ways and have different experiences. Nova can be split in two in combat (one part to tease the enemy, the other stays on Steele), but since she's travelling with Steele there's really no time for her two parts to truly separate, so Nova remains Nova. Generic gray goos have no real impetus to stick together, so when one splits in two, the two parts each go in a random direction afterwards and become a separate gray goo.Fascinating responses, though i do want to add, i do not mean the double goo, when you defeat a gray goo you can have her split almost in two and she fucks you from both ends, but at the end she loses the small tube connecting the two halves and they each run off in different direction, strongly implying two fully formed goo girls came from one.
If we're talking about the same Nova, I actually found out by researching to answer this thread:We're not talking about Nova the final boss of Anno's Ghost Deck mission, but rather Nova the gray goo armour. Damn, that single scene already destroys many theories, I have never played that scene.Fascinating responses, though i do want to add, i do not mean the double goo, when you defeat a gray goo you can have her split almost in two and she fucks you from both ends, but at the end she loses the small tube connecting the two halves and they each run off in different direction, strongly implying two fully formed goo girls came from one.
Typing error, I think she can do that thanks to an improvement Anno gave us for Nova, possibly she can also become armor for this:Who's "he"? Anyway, the GGA can already clone herself.
Actually, that scene requires solving the Nova crew's problem with new cybernetic bodies, getting an update on that from Anno and not going back to Deck 13 to make Nova; as long as those requirements are met, she can be met randomly in the Golden Peak on Myrellion. Presumably, if you convince the Nova's crew to use the gray goo, the goo that would become Nova via the above method will instead become the body of one of the crew (probably Captain Morrow). As such, Nova's existence is gated behind either the cybernetic body solution (resulting in the Nova first met at the Golden Peak) or Steele making her themself at Deck 13.If we're talking about the same Nova, I actually found out by researching to answer this thread:
It seems to be the route you choose when you force the crew to charge their minds to the existing Gray Goos, although I'm not sure, I want to assume that even if you help them through Steel Tech, Nova would end up being born sooner or later.output("<i>“Oh, hi!”</i> she says, perking up as you approach. <i>“Holy wow, it’s really you!”</i>");
output("\n\nYou cock an eyebrow. <i>“Do I know you?”</i>");
output("\n\n<i>“Sure you do! Um, well, maybe? You’ve totally </i>seen<i> me, anyway. I’m Nova!”</i> she grins, shifting her form momentarily to that of the tall, slender, handsome woman you met on Deck 13 of the <i>Nova</i>, dressed in a facsimile of an officer’s uniform. The goo squirms and shifts back to her normally buxom form and giggles playfully. <i>“Recognize me now?”</i>");
output("\n\nWait, wasn’t she going to be getting a new cyber body?");
output("\n\n<i>“</i>She<i> sure did,”</i> the goo-girl laughs, <i>“Captain what’s-her-butt and her crew are all off getting their fancy new bodies. Which means I got to wake up after she left! The nice people in lab coats said I should go find somebody to take care of me, sooooo I’m looking for someone really nice to be my friend! Oh! Do you want to be my friend? Pretty please? You were so nice to all my friends already...”</i>");
