So just a quick question-

I know TiTS is set in the dazzling spacey future, I also realize it is in alpha, so I'll keep this short.

Are Ranged/Melee weapons going to be energy based more often than kinetic? So far it definitely seems that way according to what "end game" stuff we have available.

Based on current class perks, I would assume Kinetic and Energy weapons will be balanced later on. Though I also assume Kinetic weapons will feature more Railguns than conventional weaponry later on.

Had you asked this question sometime earlier*, the "end game" stuff would have seemed to be obviously in favour of kinetic weaponry. As Woider says, unless there's going to be a revamp on the basic design behind class-based perks, one should assume that the two styles of weapons are supposed to be balanced, as mercenaries and tech specialists are supposed to be balanced.

I Suspect so or plasma weapons might come into play. Hopefully they will be balance in the future.

As a tech specialist I want an Energy/Kinetic weapon type. Railguns sound like they'd fit under that description. Doubt i'd be able to use Volley with it, but Overcharge + A railgun sounds like a delicious idea. As much as I like technology expertise, I am more of a kinetic kill kind of goo. Pew pew.
