So, anybody else just kinda realize when you defeat an enemy

via combat, and you have sex with them you're fucking somebody you just stabbed and or shot up? Makes me kinda wanna go pacifist.

I personally dislike using the Tease system, but as someone playing a smut game I'd very much prefer it if a prospective fling hadn't been previously hacked to pieces by my own character. TiTS doesn't say that enemies are that badly damaged by attacks and suspension of disbelief goes more toward "I brandish cool arms!" than "gorefest". But hey, it could be worse. CoC texts outright stated that you mutilated your enemies.

Yeah, I skip most after-fight sex, and I justify what I do get into with my weapons being electric and thus "really just tasers".

While it's simply not implemented yet until cybernetics or otherwise get in you'll notice that your character neither gets their limbs chopped/blown off nor do they get scars. My headcannon to this is that the microsurgeons are working overtime to heal the player's body in which the health bar isn't an actual health bar but rather the amount of resources the MS have to work with in healing your body in terms of what I'm thinking is either convertible biomass/fuel or metabolic energy. What I'm saying is as you're healed you get more and more tired to the point where your body just gives up and allows the enemies to "rape" you. In quotations because most of the time your character ends up enjoying it at least partly for some reason(fear of making the game darker I guess).

Now I know what you're going to say, "but they don't have our microsurgeons, we don't know if our enemies have regular microsurgeons or not," and you'd be right. But, who's to say the little buggers aren't in some way or form transmissible like a disease? We already have instances in which similar machines move around on their own as if they're a separate entity and can heal organics, grey goo and its item vial, and they're ancient by technological standards. I wouldn't put it past modern MS being capable of leaving the body and becoming some form of airborn contagion that every rusher spreads as they go around. It could also be argued, if they are transmissible, that if they find themselves in a body they weren't designed for as per your initial injection which I think imprints the DNA they're allowed to mess with, that they won't be able to modify the bodies of their transmitted hosts like transformation but would at least be capable of accelerated healing.

It may be a stretch but it is one with I think at least some sort of plausibility and one that I use in justifying after-battle sexytimes.

TL;DR:
The universe is infected with self-replicating, airborn, healing microbots. Enemy is fine after fight fam.

it would be interesting to see a scene that incorporates a bruise or something from the fight though

My headcanon is just that everyone has backup shields that let them get battered and bruised but keep them from sustaining truly serious damage. It's only if you attack them while they're out of standard shields AND health that you'd be able to penetrate that reserve barrier and actually deal serious injuries, like what happens in a number of Bad Ends where you just get shot in the face.

You're probably using less-than-lethal firing options unless you need to kill/destroy (I'm thinking the rogue robot on Mhen'ga). I mean, if you shoot a projectile from a railgun, you're not going to injury someone, you're going to leave a long bloody smear from where their body used to be. Meaning you could probably adjust settings on weapons or replace ammo with less-than-lethal options as needs be.

As for melee, well, I can't justify how those psychos don't mutilate their enemies.

I mean, right now I'm using an automatic shotgun. Literally peppering my enemies with tiny pellets of metal.

Or maybe you're pelting them with tiny bean bags.

I mean, from what I remember, there's maybe one bad end where you are explicitly told you are killed and that's the rogue robot on Mhen'ga and one instance where you come across someone who is losing a limb, Saendra, and three instances where you interact with people who have suffered injuries that are bad enough to necessitate cybernetics (Anarrie, Liliana and Lyralla). There's probably more, but I can't remember.

I mean, by all rights, lasers should slowly boil living tissue, while plasma bolts should vaporise or burn. But they obviously aren't if you can end up having sex with them. There's obviously some setting on a weapon to take it down from "HIGH ENERGY DEATH!" to "Low intensity".

They could have you know.. armor. Then there's set lasers to stun not kill.

My headcannon is that all of the weapons are toys, and we're really just fighting eachother with squirt guns and nerf bats. :T

There's no stun for kinetic bullets.

They're really really soft, but hard hitting bullets, jk.

Thing is, the PC is just in a "I need to fuck" mindset they ignore the 72 bullet holes they put into the enemy and really think they want to have sex, while they are moaning to the PC's ears they really are screaming in pain as they are fucked.

Never heard of rubber bullets?
Yeah, when you shoot people with those, you're just laying the ground work for all the condoms you need when you bang them.

I would have imagined that it was a form of censored violence, sort of like how in some RPGs when a character swings their sword and you see a streak of light but no actual blood (even though there are scenes in this game that explicitly mention gore), because videogames. *Shrugs* Everyone has their own way of coping with it.
I mean yeah I get that but it's hardly realistic I feel.

I figure I sprinkle some grey goo on them after inflicting extreme traumatic injuries via rail gain.

A galaxy full of chuunis probably makes more sense than no one ever getting seriously hurt by your mega-boosted plasma rifle and sword made from lava.

At the end of the day, this is a sex game, not a shooter, not an action/adventure.

The basic premise is that the winner bangs the loser, not "leave-your-enemies-as-a-bloody-smear-on-the-walls". I mean, by rights, Steele should have probably lost a limb before they left Mhen'ga or be near death. But they don't. In fact, the worst that can happen to them is losing to Dane and getting mega-tentadick'd.

Its a sex game, meant to cater to the majority of users and I would imagine a game where you're fucking someone who has been shot, or is bleeding out doesn't really fall under that particular umbrella. At the end of the day, someone loses a fight, gets fucked and then brushes themselves off and goes back to whatever they were doing. Even when Steele gets knocked down to zero health, there's no mention of them holding in their intestines that have been threatening to spill out from their eviscerated abdomen as they walk back to their ship.

I think it comes down to two words "Health Points". Its a loaded term. You automatically think of HP being synonymous with bodily integrity, which makes sense as in 99% of other games with HP, if you get knocked to zero health, you're dead. Whereas, it makes more sense to think of it as Stamina and getting knocked down to zero doesn't kill you, it just leaves you exhausted. Yes, there's still the idea of having to justify surviving the various bolts, blasts and bullets, but then chalk it up to futuristic technology, or more likely, Fen and co not wanting that level of gore in the game. Its a sex game after all, the only beings that actually die are parasites. Otherwise, everyone suffers some bumps and bruises, then they get fucked and go home.

There are plenty of scenarios where you're actually fighting for your life in the game, it's the whiplash between blasting a Raskvel or something with your deadly weapon and not seriously hurting them vs. killing pirates while Saen's arm dangles by a single meaty strand that gives it that silly incongruity.

Yeah, but at the same time, no one is ever clutching their gutshot stomach with bloody hands, pleading for their life as you drop your pants and armour to fuck them.
