Bought Bimbo-Sieg from Dr.Badger. According to the wiki, she's supposed to be delivered to ship storage; but instead, she goes straight into your inventory, which doesn't fire the unbox/name scene. Then took her again to the good doctor, went back to discuss pet names and this comes up:

Equipping her places her directly in the crew menu, in that situation.

No it was all about making the game not instantly blow up because of the duplicate wulfe in creatures.
