Now in Frosthome menu at the absolute very start of the game. click 'Journal'

I just tried following all these steps and it didn't crash for me. Can you try going through it again, saving to file once you wake up, and then clicking Journal and seeing if it crashes? If it does please post the save.

I have a feeling this is going to be a tough one to catch.

I think I may have found the issue. If you save/load during the tutorial and then go to the appearance tab in the journal it causes a crash that I've fixed for next release. Is that what you were doing? It's an interaction that has to do specifically with loading a save that's in the tutorial and then going to the appearance tab.

I did not do that. I didn't know you could open the data tab during the tutorial until I read that.
And why should we be allowed to save during a tutorial?
