Screwed Up and Need Help

So I start the Plantation Quest, and I take way longer than I should just getting up the waterfall and all. I start just tapping and speeding through, just trying to get through it. I end up reaching the place with the idol and just take it without thinking, because I'd been just trying to move along, only to find out that I've pretty much screwed myself by locking myself into the tribe fight and locking out the peaceful ending. Another issue being that I saved over before I took it, leaving me with no save that wouldn't require maybe a day's worth of work to catch back up to where I was. Is there anyway to undo my screw up? Or at least still get the peaceful ending without me spending a whole day just getting back to the point?

Is it possible to put the idol back? I have a vague recollection of being able to do that.

If that's not possible, you can download the unofficial save editor for TiTS and change the raw flag "PQ_TOOK_AMBER" to zero, which will make it so that you didn't take the idol. If you can't figure out how to use the editor I can help walk you through it.

Unfortunately, already tried. No option to. Also tried tossing it out, but that didn't work either. And does the editor work for Android? Probably should've mentioned I was on mobile.

Actually, just figured out how to transfer the save from the phone to the computer. Currently don't have access to a windows computer as I'm traveling, but when I do, I'll be sure to try this out. Hope you don't mind me bothering you if I run into trouble.
