Scalpel or Talons

Okay so I'm looking at the weapons on Uvento, and there is two things I'm confused about:


1) Why is the seemingly better T.Scalpel better than the P.Talons, cost less?


2) Why is the T.Scalpel considered a melee, when in it's demo its described as a gun?

2) From what i can figure, it was meant to be a ranged weapon with a bayonet, and was later demoted to glorified lightsaber

Ever see the movie Titan A.D.? The salvage beam cutter from the beginning? Think that, but smaller and limited in range.

unfortunately, i have not, but I'm guessing that you holding one handed, maybe two and the "blade" only goes out 1-2feet.
