Save-to-file saves and Steam achievements

If I play the Steam version of CoC2 and load a save-to-file save from the browser version, will I unlock steam achievements for the stuff I've done in that save so far, or would I have to redo all that stuff in a new save on the Steam version?

IIRC, the achievements I qualified for unlocked retroactively when I loaded my non-Steam save file into Steam. That was a long time ago, though, so IDK if it's still true (or if I'm misremembering, though I'm fairly confident I'm not).

Yeah, it's retroactive for anything that has the appropriate event flags set when you load up the save. Stuff that has to be done 'live' or that you've done but not on that particular save won't be unlocked though.

that really hit me when I went from browser to steam. I was already between 1 and 2 hundreds hours in. It triggered me so much that I used a steam achievement unlocker (that I don't reccomand because such program can easily be detected when used)
