Salamander Shield vs Reaper Armaments Mk.1 Shield

I'm a little torn on which shield to use. Salamander provide better all around resistance but Reaper provides longer staying power. Any thoughts on which shield is superior?

Elemental resists on shields are worth less that nothing on anything that you actually want the resistances for. Which is only one thing, Dr. Lash.
