When I step into an encounter tile on Mhen'Ga for the first time and it calls her up, choosing No Thanks or completing her interaction just puts me back at the tone selection prompt. I have Debug Mode on, and the character is loaded from the last Flash Image Pack version.

Forcing July 4th events to Off doesn't help, and enemy encounters can still happen but do not break the loop.
Well there’s your problem. Turn it off and you’ll be fine.
Sorry I took so long to reply, I just got most of my computer back from repairs. All my save files are gone until I get the other HDD back (right now I just have the one with the OS and Blender.) and I haven't been able to replicate the glitch on a new one or figure out how to get debug mode back in action. The old save was ported over from the last flash release with everything more or less unlocked and debug mode active.
I think I found the issue regardless, but this specific problem also essentially relies on having debug enabled too, kind of.
