About the game
I almost can't believe it's been 6 months since I got the idea for Blooming Love and started working on it. The ride hasn't been easy and there have been times where I wasn't sure if I wanted to continue developing the game, but I'm glad I've stuck with it for so long.

I would of course like to thank my Patrons who helped give me the motivation to continue working on this project. You're amazing and I appreciate all of your support.

So... what am I going to do to celebrate? Simple. Release some new stuff of course. No, it's not going to be the next chapter of Blooming Love. You'll all have to wait just a little bit longer for version 0.13, which I'm working very hard on right now. But this new release does have something to do with Blooming Love though. So I hope you'll all enjoy it.

What is Blooming Love - Rosie's Innocence?
Blooming Love - Rosie's Innocence, or simply called Rosie's Innocence for short, is a side story to the Blooming Love game featuring new characters, a new relationship and new hardships to overcome. But Rosie's Innocence is actually a somewhat interesting entry for me since it was actually created quite a long time before I started working on Blooming Love. At least... in a sense. I originally wanted to try my hand on writing a romantic visual novel about 1.5 years ago, but I didn't know about DAZ Studio at the time. So what I ended up doing to try to get some experience in writing was simply take the already existing art of a Japenese H-game and create my own story with that. Of course I didn't publish that to earn money from it, but I did finish the whole thing. This version of the game is quite different from the original version though. See below for all the version differences.

What is Rosie's Innocence relation to Blooming Love?
Not that much, except for some overlapping themes. Some characters from Blooming Love get mentioned during the story and the school used in the game is the same one from Blooming Love (Alacia High). You can play as a lesbian couple, just like in Blooming Love. But unlike in Blooming Love you can also decice to play as a boy this time. Each sex scene has two variants depending on the gender of the main character. Also... no sister-sister relationship this time. Sorry. Just regular old classmates/neighbours. Timeline wise this takes place during the first week of term, so the upcoming releases of Blooming Love will be set at the same time as Rosie's Innocence. You don't have to read Rosie's Innocence to continue reading Blooming Love and you don't have to have read Blooming Love to enjoy Rosie's Innocence. They are both stand-alone stories. Rosie's Innocence is a complete story, so this is version 1.0 of the game. I think I will get back to it eventually to add some more images and fix some bugs though.

Summary of the story
You play as eiher a girl or a boy who has recently decided to move away from New York. When you arrive at your new house you quickly make contact with Rosie, a neighbour and future classmate. She seems shy and uncomfortable around strangers and you soon learn that this might be because Rosie is being bullied by one of her classmates. When you spend more time with her, she becomes more and more relaxed around you and she seems happy to have found someone willing to spend time with her. You decide to try to bring some happiness to Rosie's life by becoming a good friend to her and to see if you can get her bully from stopping her negative behavior. And who knows... maybe you and Rosie might be more than simple friends some day.

What kind of themes and fetishes are there?
Not that many. Love, romance, big breasts, small breasts, F/F, F/M, lesbian, female protagonist, male protagonis, bullying, high school, stuttering.

What changed from the original version?
Quite a lot. I remade the game from the ground up, so... - Switched from RPG Maker engine to Ren'py - Replaced all images with my own rendered ones/copyright free images - Added the option to play as both female and male protagonist. Original only had male protagonist. This took a lot of time to implement and required a lot of rewriting, but I think it's worth it. - Added the option to choose between 3 different breast sizes for Rosie, the main romantic lead of the game. This once again took a lot of time to implement. Not sure if it was worth it, but we'll see. - Altered quite a few scenes in other minor ways

A final note
There is one final thing I'd like to mention. If you think Blooming Love already didn't have enough unique images, this game might not be for you. I didn't add any images to the original, only rendered images to replace the original ones. This was mostly to not slow down development of Blooming Love too much. Because of that it's very much a Japanese H-game like visual novel in the sense that only sexual scenes have fully rendered images. On top of that, every images needed to be rendered 6 times to allow for the different genders and different breast sizes. If this sacrifice is worth it or not is up to you. So Rosie's Innocence very much became a testing project for me. I wanted to try out some of Blooming Love's most requested features: F/M content and smaller breasts as an option. Let me know if you still think these things are worth it or not. And as always... I've bugtested it as much as possible, but no doubt there are still some bugs in there. Don't be afraid to report them if you find any.

Spoilers below, not sure if theres a way to cover them on this forum. Before my impressions just want to mention that you get referred to as a guy several times even if you are a girl. I can recall once when talking to elain in her classroom hangout thing and once when getting back test results. Anyway...

Man, that took a lot of work to ruin the relationship. Played through twice. First time I just tried to sleep with rosie quickly and then see if I could move on to anyone else. Couldn't find any way to get rosie to dump me or vise versa. I always spent time with elain, Intentionally lied to the doctor so I would make sure rosie's baby was killed (couldn't find a way to kill rosie), asked elain to finger me, told her I didn't love rosie, told rosie to ditch her future to be with me instead, told the classmate I had sex with elain, did everything I could to be a dick. Didn't matter, still got the happy ending.

Round 2 and I tried this time to just never show any interest in rosie at all. Didn't matter, still ended up together. Baby died still. Perhaps theres a way to dump rosie if the baby lives but somehow I doubt it and I'm never not going to kill a baby in a video game if given the choice. Seemed like only choice that matters is whether or not you tell rosie to go to the other highschool or not and then if you study enough to pass. This time I told her to go and did my best to not make it. Fortunately I managed to fail but then my character was all sad and rosie seemed to be fine from it all. Sad I couldn't sleep with elain as a girl.

All in all it was pretty good. Happy to have more yuri. I didn't really like rosie though. Just not my type I guess. The illusion of choice was pretty solid the first time around but going back and experimenting showed how few options I really had and how little most of my choices mattered but thats pretty par for the course and as long as the illusion holds up in a first playthrough I can't complain. I definitely prefer blooming love over this one. The personalities of the characters in that feel more developed and are more appealing to me. Rosie felt pretty bland, like she was defined almost entirely but what happened to her and didn't have much substance to her character. Made it feel strange to me that the player character is so in love with her. I did feel like the player character was decent though (at least as a girl, didn't play as a guy). I'm thinking maybe thats because you went back and wrote the female character after having more experience writing since I believe you said you added the lesbian option later.

Hopefully none of that comes off as too harsh. I did enjoy it and I enjoy blooming love a lot too. Keep up the good work.
