Rat Bandits Error [Version: 0.9.014-PUBLIC]

After fighting Rat bandits at Zheng Shi, encountered error. Error occured while fightiing the Rat Bandits.
Background:
Game file has ported from the Flash vers. and also underwent the TiTs Save Editor. Had other errors but not repeatable or trigger is unknown.

I think I had this error as well when I had the Flash version. Did you perhaps hold 1 (fight & melee buttons) while fighting the bandits? Holding 1 when encountering the bandits tends to lead to a crash in my experience, since the game goes by so fast the code doesn't know how to process it.
