For players that have a Steele as a specific it would be interesting to be able to use stuff like claws for gryvain or Pheromone for Zil stuff like that. My Steele is a frostwyrm and it’s so awkward that if I get disarmed in combat I can’t attack with her clawed hand or a special ability like frost breath could be used if you have the energy for it. Same for the other races like stronger kick for horse race flying combat for races with wings etc, when we fight zil they can fly so why not let us fly up with them if we have wings. It would add a few more options in and out of combat situations and make it more fun to me. Just my opinion, i still love the game.

Corruption of Champions had special attacks tied to body parts. Some of these attacks were better than others, and it lead to people feeling like they had to get certain combinations of parts to be 'optimal'. This is counter-productive if one of the major draws is allowing people the freedom to choose what their character looks like. One of the explicit design principles when going into TiTS was to not have your appearance influence combat.

Obviously, they haven't held 100% to that, but the exceptions tend to be ones where there are multiple ways to get it, or aren't dependent on appearance.
1. There are multiple types of Wings, and the Light Jetpack does the same thing. -Accessory slot, +10 Evasion. Still the best Evasion Accessory.
2. Milk Squirt, Myr Venom and Dick Slap are functionally identical.
3. Pheromone Perks stack and are permanent. Don't rely on appearance, you just have to use the relevant Transformative to get them, then do whatever.
Tease combat is broken anyway.
4. Dumb4Cum technically doesn't depend on your appearance. and got nerfed.

You actually do Fly with Wings (or the Light Jetpack), even if you don't have the 'Flying' Status effect. Notably, the Flying Status is effectively worthless. It only blocks basic Melee attacks, but the vast majority of enemies use Melee-themed Special attacks instead, which bypass Flying.
1. You can hit Flying enemies with Melee attacks.
2. You can Fly to reach the Zil Village, Myrellion's Deep Caves & the Cave at the Eastern edge of Uveto. Usually takes less Energy and time.
3. The Shock Hopper has an auto-hit ground-based attack that is avoided if you can Fly.
4. Taking the Booster Pack perk (Smuggler) lets you always Sneak Attack/Aimed Shot grounded targets, even if you don't activate the ability. Confirmed as Not a Bug, by the way.
5. You automatically avoid the overpass in the fight with Feruze on Dhaal.

I could see adding a conditional to describe the 'default' melee weapon as 'Claws' instead of a 'Rock', if you have them, but I doubt they would change stats.
With regard to being Disarmed, spending a turn to Equip a weapon clears Disarmed (even if it's not the weapon you then attack with). If you keep a spare, you can do this in one turn instead of two. Quickdraw lets you do it for free.
